“Oh, the Farmer and the Cowboy should be friends...”
(Only my geek theater friends will get that one...)
Imagine that, a liberal gay having to sit down and have a respectful conversation with a Conservative. That indeed must have been hard on him.
After the purge, he won’t have to worry about that happening again...
Like I’ve said all along....they’re all predators.
“Territory folk should stick together, Territory folk should all be pals. Cowboys dance with the Farmers’ daughters, Ranchers dance with the Cowboys’ gals!”
*SMIRK* OK. I’m done. :)
Of course he would be friends with a BLT, the man runs a sandwich shop afterall...
As Christians, aren’t we supposed to hate the sin and love the sinner? It all seems perfectly consistent to me.
That, in a nutshell, is the liberal view. They don't want to "risk" sitting down with people opposing viewpoints and listening to them. If they did, they might actually realize how extreme they are.
No, he hasn't. He might imagine he has, but he really hasn't.
There is NOTHING wrong with being friends with homosexuals.
We are supposed to love the sinner, but hate the sin. We cannot and must not endorse the life behavior of homosexuality. Same with alcoholism. Same with adultery...
Jesus forgave and then warned “Go and sin no more”...
I work with homosexuals, some are hard working and industrious and PRIVATE about their behavior. Others are lazy clowns and some FLAUNT their lifestyle....
People are people, sinners are sinners.
I am NOT someone who believes in finding people’s sins and snubbing them—of course, Paul taught the Corinthians that if someone IN THE LOCAL church is sinning, they ought to be given the chance to repent...but if they don’t then they can be shunned. But as for those OUTSIDE the church, how can they be reached if we don’t engage them?
Sorry for the rant.
I am just concerned that we conservatives sometimes end up HATING the person who practices sodomy more than the sodomy alone. Jesus can save the worst of sinners...and His Spirit works, many times, through our witness. We DON’T excuse the sin, we DON’T endorse the sin. We DO try and show God’s love to the person sinning.
I have interacted on a friendly basis with lots of gays. I served (as a Christian) a lesbian when she was without family and friends and suddenly became paralysed on her job.
Even though I love her as a child of God, that does not mean I think lesbianism is a wonderful condition of mind and behavior. She was alone because she was a lesbian - mental - and she was not easy to serve. She was mean but I assited her through rehab and getting set up in life as a parapalgegic because Christ loves her and sent me to her aid.
Doesn’t surprise me in the least the Dan Cathy would be pleasant and converse without bending on his deeply held values. To me, of course he would! Just because he doesn’t believe in so called gay marriage, doesn’t mean he hates anyone.
