There is NOTHING wrong with being friends with homosexuals.

We are supposed to love the sinner, but hate the sin. We cannot and must not endorse the life behavior of homosexuality. Same with alcoholism. Same with adultery...

Jesus forgave and then warned “Go and sin no more”...

I work with homosexuals, some are hard working and industrious and PRIVATE about their behavior. Others are lazy clowns and some FLAUNT their lifestyle....

People are people, sinners are sinners.

I am NOT someone who believes in finding people’s sins and snubbing them—of course, Paul taught the Corinthians that if someone IN THE LOCAL church is sinning, they ought to be given the chance to repent...but if they don’t then they can be shunned. But as for those OUTSIDE the church, how can they be reached if we don’t engage them?

Sorry for the rant.

I am just concerned that we conservatives sometimes end up HATING the person who practices sodomy more than the sodomy alone. Jesus can save the worst of sinners...and His Spirit works, many times, through our witness. We DON’T excuse the sin, we DON’T endorse the sin. We DO try and show God’s love to the person sinning.

SoFlo and Sara, I enjoyed reading both of your messages, and I really think I'd enjoy meeting YOU.

The Second Reading from today's Mass was 1 Cor 12:31—13:13 : "Brothers and sisters: Strive eagerly for the greatest spiritual gifts. But I shall show you a still more excellent way...."

You seem to know the more excellent way.
