Yes, you nailed the prevailing sentiment of the leftist ‘intelligentsia’. They really are delusional and think they are smarter than everyone else, with special insights. It's the “Oh, you haven't been to Europe?” crowd. Elitist as they come, but characterizing themselves as champions of the downtrodden.
