That 41% is an NBC number, therefore IMO it is most likely considerably higher in say a legitimate poll.

Better yet Morning Joe has been on a mission for weeks warning Rs that they must do what O demands on gun control or else! He said the NRA is dead after that commercial. He keeps citing Os approval rating.
He said Powell should be the Rs intellectual leader.
I had a good laugh this morning when Moring Joe went after Ted Cruz for saying (on NBC MTP) for saying O immediately jumped to take political advantage from those dead kids.
Watching Joe claim he is a conservative then wet the bed every Morning is really entertaining.

Suppressed poll. It’s what they do. Run that poll again in Westchester and Rockland counties where folks were outed.

It is laughable that the MSM elites and the “Big City” aristocracy believe that NRA members are just a bunch of redneck hicks. It would be very enlightening to see a breakdown of how many NRA members have advanced degrees, medical degrees, six-figure salaries, are corporate executives and business owners. In other words, hard-working, taxing-paying, law-abiding, productive citizens as opposed to the Obama entitlement group.

Contributor Chris Cillizza added that "inside the Beltway and in big cities in this country," the NRA may be "akin to a curse word. It is not in the vast majority of the country."
It would be interesting to see a state-by-state breakdown of the poll results. If not county-by county.
Right now I put the likelihood of anything more than universal background checks passing at around 25%. And I'm being generous to the gun-grabbers with saying that. Too many members of the House are Republicans AND Democrats from red-leaning districts where people normally inclined to vote for them will either stay home or vote for a challenger (for the GOPers in a primary as well) if universal registration (or worse) passes.
On top of that, the Dems no longer have their supermajority in the US Senate. Depending on what passes, Mitch McConnell WILL get primaried and if he's lucky enough not to go the route of his former colleague from the state immediately to his North, he'll probably go up against Ashley Judd ... who is going to have VERY deep pockets infused with Hollywood CA$H ... with a voter base that will be strongly inclined to do something productive on election day 2014. Like going hunting or to the range.
Mitch wants to keep his seat. No brainer. But I also think that the Dems want Mitch to stay as Minority Leader. He's their kind of deal-maker, willing to cave on all sorts of issues. If he goes down they may end up with a Senate GOP that's led by someone with an actual backbone.

Andrea ought to take another look at the county election map. She might figure out that there’s a whole red country out there. The blue patches are the cesspool population centers who re-elected her community organizer.
To: Quester
Probably more confounded that the poll wasn’t cooked better.

“The NRA brand has been fairly toxic in many of the debates, the gun debates especially since Newtown, but their membership base is broad and deep.”
Translation: We thought we had destroyed the NRA but it appears we must continue to lie about and besmirch these racists for the foreseeable future.
