Considering that the Pub leverage was minimal, I believe they did better than I expected they could in getting some concessions. It could have been a lot worse.

You get it. You are smart.

Let's face it, Obama won, democraps gained in senate & house. Like you said, it could have been lot worse. I bet some of the same people who stayed home on election day are now shouting the loudest against this bill. Next time get out and vote even if the nominee is not your first choice, as Romney was not mine. But I held my nose and voted. It was disgraceful that Romney received less votes than McCain. Now Obama is in charge, and he can do what he wants, so get used to it.

Is that even true?

What is disgraceful is that some people think we should keep voting for THIS CRAP and expect less crap.

That is a joke

income tax rates stay the same, Obamacare taxes won’t you really expect to “save”?

Yap, since obama won, democraps gained in Senate and House, they could have just let the Bush tax cuts expire. The media would then never accuse them of raising taxes.

I am shocked McConnell was able to make Bush tax rates PERMANENT. That is a big Fxxxing deal! Because now the democraps will have to actually vote to raise taxes.

How about the 33 million in middle class who will not pay AMT tax in 2013? How about thousands and thousands of small businesses which will not fold up upon death of owner because McConnell got them a $10 million exemption instead of the $1 Million threshold scheduled to go into effect in 2013? How about all those people with 401-k who have been rewarded with max 15% capital gains tax PERMANENTLY? How about all those seniors who depend on dividend income who will not pay more than 15% PERMANENTLY? My hats off to McConnell for getting this much out of Obama.

Come on, we all knew we were dead ducks, the house has not done a thing for us.It is just a hang out for a bunch of drunks who don’t want to go home. all we can hope for is a battle over the spending that will come up in two months.

It was disgraceful that either one was nominated. And you voted for them.

You own this fiasco.

Romney barely eked out McCain with 59,979,858 votes this election cycled compared to Senator McCain in 2008 who picked up 59,948,323.

That is the real dirty shame. After we all observed Obama in action for 4 years, and what his agenda is. So where was GOP voter energy? Obama was vulnerable because he dropped 5.5 million votes in 2012 over 2008.

I might agree with you on the House. The deal was negotiated by senator McConnell. And if you read my posts in this thread, it is overall an excellent deal for middle class and small businesses.

It is NOT a good deal for small business. Brother has also made noises today about shutting his down.

What part of this don't you get?

On January 1, 2013 the critical issue was expiring Bush tax cuts.

The spending issue will be dealt with during the debt limit coming up soon. Spending and debt are more directly relevant. If GOP caves there, then we are indeed sunk. Election wins have consequences. Obama won, democraps gained in Senate and House. We have to live with the consequences.

I had no real energy either.

The GOP nominee didn’t offer any real alternative. Renaming ObamaCare to RomneyCare is not a good strategy. Nominating a liberal Massachussetts Republican was the most boneheaded thing possible.

Meadow muffins.

That's your handwave. The critical issue is all the other crap that your handwave is covering that's causing America to fail.

You own a television, don't you? I figure you for that type.

Energy or no energy, I bothered to vote. I lived in Chicago for a long time. I knew how Obama operates like the back of my hand.

When Cain was leading the nomination process, my energy level was off he charts because as a black man he had the best chance to beat Obama. On top of that he is much more conservative and bold compared to Romney.

The GOPe leadership is not interested in that energized base because it never wants what they want. They do not want to oppose the left, they just want to sound like they do in order to fool some cross section of the electorate.

I think we all saw that after 1994 and 2010. All we get are the back of the hand.

The GOP is not worth our vote and they shouldn't get it.

That is true, so hand it over to Obama & company? That makes even less sense?

As “moderate” as Romney is, I will bet any money he would not have raised taxes on any one in his 1st term.

I am too. Officially. Today. Be a few years before I can draw a government check, though.

But I can afford to stay up and thrash idiots that think the GOP is the best thing since sliced bread.

House paid for, no bills, no television.

No pay envelopes to distribute on Friday.

I'll also have more time to devote to getting the GOP to go the way of the Whigs, and the passenger pigeon, and the dodo.

Own it. You cheerleaded it.
