Here’s what I think should be done -
Since they have made gun owners into targets, publish a list of people who do not own guns and make them targets. It would be like a shopping list for thieves.
It seems to me that if gun permits are a matter of public record, then one could make a list of public addresses that do not have permits associated with them.
Or better yet, publish a list of all the high level people at the paper (I wouldn’t include those who are not reporters or decision-makers), along with their addresses and whether or not they have a permit. You could add in any vocal supporters, especially celebrities. This would expose those who are unarmed and would also expose the hypocrites who are.

One of the other posters suggested a class action suit. I think that may happen. I’d want to be as far away from a countersuit as possible. What the paper did is unconscionable and potentially actionable. Once a lawsuit materializes no other paper will do anything so foolish as this.
