Report: GOP senators won’t confirm Kerry until Clinton testifies on Benghazi
Examiner ^ | 12./26/12 | Joel Gehrke

Republican senators will refuse to confirm Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., as Secretary of State until the nation’s current top diplomat, Hillary Clinton, testifies about her handling of the Benghazi terrorist attack.

“The Senate is expected to take up Kerry’s nomination in early January, but multiple Republican senators have already said they won’t agree to a vote on Kerry’s nomination until Clinton testifies about the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi,” The Cable’s Josh Rogin notes.

Clinton backed out of testifying at a congressional hearing last week after fainting and suffering a concussion. She was the first cabinet-level official to acknowledge that terrorists played a role in the assault on the U.S. mission in Benghazi.

“For some time, al-Qaida in the Islamic Maghreb and other groups have launched attacks and kidnappings from northern Mali into neighboring countries,” Clinton said during a United Nations meeting in New York on September 26. “Now, with a larger safe haven and increased freedom to maneuver, terrorists are seeking to extend their reach and their networks in multiple directions. And they are working with other violent extremists to undermine the democratic transitions underway in North Africa, as we tragically saw in Benghazi,” (emphasis added).

GOP Senators should not confirm Kerry under any circumstances, peiod; it only takes one Senator to put a hold on the nomination and not let go.

What about Jim Demint???

There is no "Benghazi Story," Nachum.

Did you not hear Mr. Joe Biden, the fellow from Delaware who looks like a chicken, say, "The President and I knew nothing about what happened?"

As far as the Syrian thing goes, those insurgent, rebel, freedom-fighter, patriot, boy scout, democracy-craving, selfless, Muslim Brothers who are trying to overthrow that terrible Assad fellow deserve every Libyan bomb, bullet, and RPG we can steal or buy for them.

Another way to look at it is that it will get Kerry out of the Senate and perhaps a Republican in his place. Obama will merely appoint somebody else likely just as bad to carry out his agenda. Obama’s appointments have been disasters.

Their silence is weird and does leave the impression that they are Obama followers.

Unless you can convince the MSM that BHO, Jr. is actually a Republican, that marvelously factual narrative will probably go absolutely nowhere except up in smoke.

There is one slightly more realistic scenario: There is always the chance that the elected end of the Republican Party, particularly those in the Senate, will all of a sudden become patriotic. Some little sign of that IS actually happening. Which is great, which also means your work is already worthwhile.

However, one must also count the "Grandstanding Factor." We FREEpers must realize that those in authority know just as much as we do, it's just that they have other priorities. That is, after throwing out some "feel-good" PR our way, they will be back to wheeling and dealing with their Democrat pals within weeks.

IMO, the tragedy is that the Republican Party is in its death throes and cannot see that they have an opportunity for heroism in our time that the Founders had in theirs. Republics die. Historically speaking, ours has already had a long run! That is how bad the situation, again IMO, is.

This is pointless if it works — if it doesn’t work, it’ll be, uh, pointful. Thanks Nachum.

So the (R)s will make her sit there and say she can't recall for a half hour and then confirm the traitor.

What else is new today?
