Secretary of State Hillary Clinton won't testify to Congress next week on Benghazi, after fainting and suffering a concussion Saturday and due to her ongoing stomach ailment.
"While suffering from a stomach virus, Secretary Clinton became dehydrated and fainted, sustaining a concussion," Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Philippe Reines said in a statement. "She has been recovering at home and will continue to be monitored regularly by her doctors. At their recommendation, she will continue to work from home next week, staying in regular contact with Department and other officials. She is looking forward to being back in the office soon."
Deputy Secretaries of State Bill Burns and Tom Nides will both testify in Clinton's place, according to the office of Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman John Kerry (D-MA).
"Secretary Clinton's team contacted Senator Kerry this morning to inform them of the Secretary's concussion. Senator Kerry was relieved to hear that the Secretary is on the mend, but he insisted that given her condition, she could not and should not appear on Thursday as previously planned, and that the nation's best interests are served by the report and hearings proceeding as scheduled with senior officials appearing in her place," said Kerry spokeswoman Jodi Seth in a statement.
The Senate Foreign Relations Committee (SFRC) and the House Foreign Affairs Committee (HFAC) had already announced that Clinton would appear to talk about the result of the State Department's own internal review of the events leading up to and during the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi. That review is being completed now by an Accountability Review Board (ARB) led by former Undersecretary of State Tom Pickering and including former Joint Chiefs Chairman ret. Adm. Mike Mullen...

I was saying in the first week of the Benghazi incident that there were a dozen reasons why the signs were already in place that it would eventually evaporate into thin air. Just like Fast and Furious. Once the tabloid aspects of the Petraeus affair, and Paula Broadwell, and those sisters whose name no one remembers now, were pushed onstage and forced into the
“narrative”, the whole incident lost its momentum, and took on a different character. The dialogue about it was derailed, and the whole issue went down a rabbit-hole, permanently extinguished. And so......they fade from memory, are supplanted by other, bigger “issues”, which are manipulated into the public consciousness with the help of the MSM, and the procedures and testimonies get delayed, stalled, etc. as they are now, new stories dominate the news cycle, and everything gets flattened out and de-fused.
The tragic shootings at Newtown Ct. are going to dominate the news for weeks, placing all these other stories on the back burner. Perfect for Obama, who will take the “lead” like you’ve never seen him take the lead before, since the gun control issues on his Agenda have now been resuscitated
by Newtown. They will pay a tiny bit of lip service to the real issues about Newtown, like mental illness, public safety at schools , the electronic/video game culture of death and mayhem which provide images that dance bloodily in our minds whether we participate or not, but the dominant issue will be some new and totally irrelevant attempt to
intimidate legitimate and lawful gun-owners. It will be pointed out that Lanza’s mother was something of a survivalist,(read:lunatic Rightwing gun nut) who was actually mentally unstable enough to bring her mentally unstable son to a shooting range presumably to help him “take care of himself” in the event of an end-time collapse. (Ironically, she engineered her own end-time, since he killed her first.)All this will constitute a new narrative
which will effectively knock everything else off the front
pages and involve a new ersatz “national conversation” where no voices will be listened to except the ones issuing from the Administration and the MSM as they promulgate and promote their real agenda.
“It ain’t over” till the gutless fat lady sings, and it turns out she won’t sing at all, so , basically, it’s over as far as they’re concerned.
When you fall down and have a concussion it would be very foolhardy to not have an exam in the hospital and a cat scan if warranted.
This whole damn story is Bull Sh—! She knows if she goes before the committee she will either have to tell the truth or commit perjury. The truth would destroy her politically and probably Obama. Perjury can get you in jail.
She could testify under oath in her home to the committee or via closed circuit TV to the committee. She is simply a lying criminal.
i’m sure this hit on her head will affect her memory...she won’t be able to remember anything relating to Bengazi...I can hear it all now...
Obama. H Clinton, and now John Kerry should be indicted under RICO laws, IMO.

Hillary is up to her eyeballs in Libya. She, Susan Rice and Samantha Power made the convincing argument to protect civilians in Libya by "leading from behind." Why was the ambassador in Benghazi, not Tripoli? Why was the request for more security denied to Benghazi after a series of hostile acts there including an earlier attack on the consulate? Who denied any response to the attack as it continued for another 6 - 7 hours on Sep. 11, 2012?

I agree and furthermore, I consider her refusal to testify the same as admitting her guilt to all the above.
Certainly, her poor health and continuous fainting is an indication that she isn’t well enough to hold the office of the presidency. We certainly can’t have someone in that important role that might not be able to perform her duties...right?

A 65 year old overweight woman ( who happens to be Secy of State faints and has a concussion and is not rushed to an ER for tests?
Yet, it’s so bad, she will not be able to testify at the hearings on Benghazi.
