The Connecticut school shooting that left 27 people dead — including as many as 20 children — has prompted Hollywood celebrities to demand stricter gun control because they believe it will prevent similar tragedies from occurring in the future.
“Too soon to speak out about a gun-crazy nation? No, too late,” far-left filmmaker Michael Moore tweeted. “At least THIRTY-ONE school shootings since Columbine.”
“The way to honor these dead children is to demand strict gun control, free mental health care, and an end to violence as public policy,” he added.
Screenwriter Kevin Williamson agreed. “We need gun control. Stop defending your right to bear arms. You’re stupid,” he tweeted.
Pop singer Michelle Branch tweeted: “Gun control people!!! My heart is breaking. As a parent this is my worst nightmare.”
“Parks and Recreation” star Rashida Jones said that “gun control is our only road to freedom” via her official Twitter account.
“Freedom from the fear of senselessly losing children. I’m so saddened. WE NEED LAWS NOW,” she added.
CNN host Piers Morgan wondered aloud on Twitter whether President Barack Obama would have the courage to “stand up to the American gun lobby.” He also tweeted the hashtag #guncontrol.

There is a common denominator in all these mass shootings, both school and non-school shootings. That is they are ALL “GUN FREE ZONES”! I propose that we refer to “gun free zones” as free fire zones.
If guns are the problem why don’t we have mass shootings at trap and skeet ranges? In fact when I shoot skeet I don’t even lock my truck - who would be stupid enough to mess with it?
I guess Hollywood is content with majority-rightwing police and military owning all the weapons exclusively then...right?

Once upon a time, we lived within a nation of laws based upon facts. Currently we live within a nation of emotions based upon lies to feed the frenzy of emotions. When facts are presented to those who want to react based upon emotions, the facts are one miss upon another miss when confronting a zombie. Eventually the non-zombie is eaten. The zombie doesn’t care. The zombie was already dead. Facts only mean something to the living. Emotions are a form of preparing for death.
If anyone wonders why movies and entertainment sucks these days compared to 30+ years ago, the reasons are illustrated by the comments of Michael Moore, et. al.
It didn’t take long for the enemies of freedom to bathe themselves in the blood of the victims and call for gun control. That despicable POS in the white house was calling for it (though not by name) less than 6 hours after the tragedy.

Thousands of one room school houses across the nation were kept safe by a shotgun standing in the corner, over these last 100 years.
Perhaps visit a school district in Israel?
The duty of teachers is to keep children safe at school, they stand in loco parentis. That danger now includes shooters who would enter the school and kill students. The answer, and the only answer of any American who has an ounce of sense is to arm teachers and make sure they are trained to discharge their duty to keep students safe.
Its just that simple.Meanwhile these celebrities think that disarming law abiding citizens is the answer, so that those law abiding citizens too will be victims to the next crazy a$$holes like you celebreties are, who come along armed?..... Making Americans all into sheep who must depend on others for self defence, one of the most basic human rights of any civilized nation?

We already have thousands of gun laws in effect, with little or no effect. Yet, these idiots want more! Gun laws only effect law abiding gun owners and will never deter the criminal element or those that want to kill other people.
Do away with guns, and the person intent on killing people will find another way ... bombs, knives, baseball bats ... they will find something.

All of these people likely have some sort of security with handguns.
Many of them make moves riddled with explosions and gun fights.
None of them believe you plebs should own one.

Oh yeah, one of the most popular shows on TV today features a group of people, including a young boy, that use some powerful firearms to protect them from zombies in a apocalyptic landscape.

Not only that, but there was once a time that people that were mentally ill could be separated from society. Committed. It’s extremely difficult, if not impossible, to do that any longer. Families with mentally ill relatives have no recourse, try as they might, and they have no choice except to just wait until their mentally ill relative goes ballistic and does something that destroys lives. They know, and want to do something, but current laws completely cut them off from helping their loved ones and the innocent lives that are at stake.

The incredible tragedy of the CT mass murder is that nobody was armed and able to stop it!

I was at my local movie theater today checking out The Hobbit..every single movie trailer had people being shot..every single one of them..yet these Hollywood filth preach to us about how we need to get rid of guns..or how about the rappers who glorify gun violence..or the media kissing the ass of Chris Brown, a domestic abuser, how many Grammy Awards did he get..so Hollywood has no problem glorifying and condoning violence as long as they are making money off of it
