State police are responding to a report of a shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School on Dickinson Drive, school officials said.

Police are reporting a number of injured parties. The nature of their injuries is not clear.

I had no idea that making what I considered to be a fairly benign, conservative observation on a conservative, pro-family, pro-God, pro-tradition forum would prove to be so inflammatory.

Perhaps I was a little aggressive with my remark, but it is one thing to make a general comment about loss of cultural values and increasing number(are they?) of such incidents but another thing to blame it on women and children, somehow. Infinitely worse is the tacit justification of such acts that you seemed to offer, and I am not the only one to feel this, clearly. Perhaps you merely misarticulated your position but if not, then I was serious in saying that you need a great degree of self-examination and/or help. All this at the cusp of this terrible evil that has been orchestrated.

Just something I heard on the TV in the other room at the time I posted...FoxNews is off on another tangent now with this story...

I do not believe it was anything more than un-substanciated rumor, but I thought it would be good to get it out there, and then let it be debunked as time goes on...

I heard they said there was approx. 100 shots fired...

I do not believe that will be found to be very accurate, based upon the stress of the incident at the time the shooting was taking place...

We will of course find out the truth as time goes on...

FoxNews just confirmed the name of the shooter 24 year old “Ryan” Lanza, and the mother is found deceased back at her home...

Granted I am in another room away from the TV and listening as best I can...
