Union or not, retailers don’t need to treat their workers this way.

Yeah its horrible the way they hired my sister nearly 20 years ago and kept giving her paychecks so she was able to buy a house.

retailers dont need to treat their workers this way. What way? Requiring that they work on holidays? Try working in a kitchen. Every single holiday is a big day and everyone gets to work.
Cry me a river. If I'm getting paid, I'll work the days my employer requires or I'll go elsewhere.

As I see it if the workers don’t like their job- for whatever reason, they can find another. That is what I have always done. If the workers think they cannot get another job in this economy then they really need to be grateful they have a job at all.

Union or not, retailers dont need to treat their workers this way.Economy sucks, they still have their jobs and will get paid overtime while helping to ensure the companies solvency while also protecting their jobs. What in the HELL is wrong or abusive about that?
Perhaps you think that the folks wanting to strike at LAX have a good and proper complaint too. IMO, W-Mart should pull a Reagan and slowly decrease the hours of those who work to hurt the employer until they can't get by and have to quit (after trying to sue W-Mart for trying to protect itself and its employees).
