Xerox will lay off 2,500 employees

Xerox announced today they will lay off 2,500 workers world wide. This comes as a result of the company taking a $100 million charge to enable restructuring in the fourth quarter.

The majority of cuts will be in the service side of the Xerox business, despite a growth in this section for the company. Services now account for more than half of Xerox's revenue.

Employment in Rochester is primarily centered on the technology side of the business, or the company's legacy side, Xeroc officials say. No details have been released on the impact of any reductions in the Rochester area.

Received an email today which I did have to photocopy and noticed in green print they asked us to do the “green thing” and find some means for reproduction other than copying!

To #21. Re “some other means for reproduction other than copying”. Well, there goes copulation right out the window.

“Do the ‘Green Thing’.” Sounds like something out of an old SciFi movie. “Invasion of the Body Snatchers”. Now that was some “reproducing”. Like peas in a pod.

The only “Green thing” I want and need badly is MONEY, “LETTUCE”, Moolah, C-Notes (and I don’t mean the musical ones), “a Grant”.

Garrett Strong sang it nicely, “Money, That’s What I Want”.

You can keep the “Hope” and the “Change” (Chump Change), I want the real stuff, before Obamacare kills me.

I thought that was funny Charles, even if no one else replied to you. They just don’t appreciate fine humor.

The math was a bit shoddy though.

You are correct. In addition, the CEO Ursula Burns, was/is on Obama’s job council. Big on the social aware/diversity/green train. Right out of Atlas Shrugged.

Xerox is much more than copies (and printers). Xerox runs most of the automated toll road operations up and down the east coast, and some on the west coast and elsewhere.
