Even my aunt in Saskatchewan waited 4 months for an effing MRI.

I was doing some info gathering to combat the lies of Obamacare a leftist loon I play softball with keeps telling.

One of the tidbits I found on MRI's, (you know, those machines your orthopedist wants to have you examined by sometime next week because you hurt your shoulder) is that in the province of Ontario, as of 2011, there were approx. 80 machines with a waiting time of about 208 days. Where I live in S.E. Michigan, there's probably that many within a 20 mile radius of me and I can have a scan done within a week.......

Here’s the story..all of it.

OTTAWA — Eastern Ontarians, particularly the walking wounded, are waiting longer for MRIs than they did three years ago even though the region has acquired three new machines to do more scans.
Officials are quick to point out that the patients who are waiting the longest are not those with life-threatening conditions such as cancer, heart disease or brain disorders. Rather, they are patients with back pain or muscle injuries.

“What we’re talking about here are people who don’t have conditions that need to be scanned urgently,”
