(CNSNews.com) - Plugging a "truly balanced approach to our fiscal challenges," White House spokesman Jay Carney on Tuesday said President Obama does not view the issue of deficits and debt in a vacuum:
"He does not believe that reducing deficits and debt are values unto themselves. He believes that they are part of an approach that is driven by his number-one priority, which is economic growth and job creation."
Also on Tuesday, the Treasury Department announced a $120-billion deficit for October, the first month of fiscal 2013. That puts the nation on track to its fifth straight trillion-dollar-plus deficit.
I take it he never received passing scores in basic math.
It looks like he’s never had to pay his own debts either!
Of course they are not ends in themselves. Control is the ultimate end. I just can’t believe there were enough people out there buying this crap enough to vote for him. Wait until they see the sticker shock and the economy worsens with more job losses.
I still can’t see it, how did we go from being the freest people on earth, into Oliver Twist begging “please sir, can I have some more - of other people’s money”.
In others words raise taxed and do not cut spending...
Correction: Obama does not think reducing debt and deficits is a value at all. Debt is among his main tools for bringing America to its knees, along with regulation, taxes, and “unexpected” terrorist attacks.
Why are conservatives surprised when a Marxist tells you exactly what he thinks? ONLY SOCIAL JUSTICE MATTERS. If the finanical collapse of America is required to establsh the goals of class warfare and destruction of an “UNFAIR SYSTEM”. Only the redistribution of America’s ill-gotten gains if important. And they are to be redistributed to the world. The entire world will get food stamps.
In the words of Rev. Wright, “G— D-—n America.”
Good. Let the idiot Americans suffer now that they got their god king back.
Depends what you mean by "works," though.
I suppose the fact that Obama is a complete and total economic moron is not relevant to any discussion. It just helps him relate to the vast majority of voters.
“truly balanced approach to our fiscal challenges,”
Well they have said it and said it and said it, for so long to set up the Republicans for the fall, we will see just how long it takes for them to bow and scrape to avoid demonization.
Oh, anyone who believes in the so called balanced approach has a major screw lose. I’m to believe that the congress, having spent the country into oblivion must have MORE revenue in order to justify any smidgeon of cut to the budget. One could ask first of all what budget, and secondly in what alternate universe that such an economy exists?
Balanced approach has the smell of stick it to the rich, and anyone proposing treating “the rich” differently than anyone else, has an agenda on their mind, if they have a mind.
I really don’t care what the old Marxist believes. Our debt is ridiculously large, and it’s damaging the country.
That's the same exact attitude taken by most ot Eric Holder's people on personal spending and debt!
And they're all "poor!"
And it's just not fair.
We have to do the same thing to everybody to make it fair, even if we have to spend their money for them to get it to happen.
Want to hear something horrible? A good deal of me is actually hoping that every person that voted for Obama loses their job, etc. I can’t believe that is where I am at but there you have it.
Those still working will just have to pay for all the BO voters that go on welfare! But, I’m with ya.
Me too.
They are not my fellow countrymen.
F them.
I’m actually looking forward to the fiscal cliff,
especially if it means that entitlement spending will cease.
Sorry, people who legitimately need it - you probably should have spoke up sooner before all the thieves started pilfering your support.
I just picked up some more work from a conservative who fired some liberals! :)
We’re paying for it now anyway, might as well get our money’s worth. : )
Precisely.
