Hundreds of thousands of utility customers, mostly in New York and New Jersey, have been left waiting for their electricity to come back on — and some are losing patience, demanding investigations of utilities they say aren't working fast enough.

One step closer to demanding that the government take over the utilities, which will be one step closer to the government not only working even less quickly than a private entity, but also a step closer to making sure any former complainers shut up (if they know what's good for them).

"It's just a little cold and dark, comrade! You don't want us to tell the others how selfish you are, do you? Of course not. The president will have your power on soon enough."

"This is designed to let everybody have a fair chance, so the lines aren't too oppressive and that we can get through this," Mayor Michael Bloomberg said.

How does this guy run for office with an "R" next to his name?

Fuel is rationed, the power`s out, it`s getting cold, FEMA`s nowhere in sight and there`s no food... but hey..

All is good... we have four more years of OBAMA! A little suffering is a small price to pay for all that celebratory warmth as you bask in the glow of the victory of socialism.

Cheer, comrades. That`s an order.

Maybe they can harvest the wind from all of the blowhards over there?

And aren’t they like supposed to be so eco-friendly? Why do they need that awful fossil fuel gunk anyway?

Walk! Take a bike to work! It’s GRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEN!

(Even in the cold of a whiteout blizzard. Muahahahahaha!)

Where’s Gov. Cuomo? It’s like if he ignores this whole mess, it will go away.

He would like to start laying the groundwork for a 2016 bid, but he’s afraid to show his face.

I say it’s a good thing. It will prepare them for visits to the doctor’s office in about 14 months.

If you want to get rid of the shortage, allow the free market to work. If prices were allowed to rise to $5-10 per gallon, lines would disappear as consumers cut back on purchases. The high prices would decrease hoarding. Supply would increase as higher prices increase the incentives to ship fuel from other regions to the area affected by hurricane Sandy.

http://gothamist.com/2012/11/08/75_of_nyc_gas_stations_still_withou.php";

But, but, but - wait a minute; all their politicians have told everyone that a big junk of their fuel-tax money should be spent on “mass transit”, so where’s all the extra trains?? Don’t they all really prefer to just walk to a train or bus stop than to get in a car??? That’s what their politicians have told everyone.
