Totally ridiculous story and assumption perhaps Christie is doing something wrong which may hurt Romney.
People are in pain and they’re is great suffering in NJ. To believe Christie should ignore or nitpick the Administration response and Obama is IMO dumb. If he did this he would indeed do damage both to himself and Romney because he would be roundly criticized for putting politics ahead of the pain and suffering of his own citizens.

He could have been polite to the president and recognized that the administration was willing to help without spending 2 days very publicly lavishing obama with unwarranted and unnecessary sloppy kisses. Christie made a fool of himself in my opinion...but I always thought he was a buffoon anyway.

It is one thing to cooperate and work with Obama. It is another to “orgasmically” praise him for simply showing up.

Thanks for your response. I live in central NJ and I'm no fan of Christie; he is rightly doing what needs to be done. Not only working with the Feds but getting help from other governors across the country. The Media is not reporting how badly NJ got slammed.
I just had to run a quick local errand and what I saw made the problems from the freak snow storm last Halloween look like a piece of cake. No gas stations open. Massive trees down everywhere, often wrapped in a power line. The bank had limited service. Many side streets blocked off with police tape (downed power lines). A traffic jam at local food store that was open.
I'm extremely fortunate ... only lost power for a few hours and the only damage was to a shed; no water from the surge. This despite two huge tree limbs that flew in and take up most of the back yard.

Exactly. New Jersey was bankrupt before Hurricane Sandy even got its name, and Christie needs Uncle Sam to pay 100% of the recovery and clean-up costs here.
It really is that simple, folks.
