Obama accepts 'Osama bin Laden' donations
WND ^ | October | Aaron Klein

Posted on 10/30/2012 7:53:07 AM PDT by yoe

Using a Pakistani Internet Protocol and proxy server, a disposable credit card and a fake address, “Osama bin Laden” has successfully donated twice to Barack Obama’s presidential re-election campaign.

The “Bin Laden” donations, actually made by WND staff, included a listed occupation of “deceased terror chief” and a stated employer of “al-Qaida.”

“Bin Laden” is currently set up on the official campaign website to contribute more to Obama’s campaign. The name is also registered as a volunteer.

Since the “foreign” contribution was sent, “Bin Laden’s” email address has received several solicitations from Obama’s campaign asking for more donations.

[snip] The Obama campaign refuses to release the identification of donors who give less than $200

Not expecting (much) from and encouraging people like this to vote, why would it surprise anyone Obama takes donations from abroad...his middle name is Hussein so what's another OBL donation.....the law is there to stop this, but 'Ol Erick is not going to stop it...this Hussein means to keep his office anyway he can.

If someone falsely claimed to be Adolf Hitler and donated to Romney, would we consider it a serious issue, telling us something about his character?

No?

Then this is silly, too.

If Romney was accepting donations from Germany, in violation of campaign finance laws, and the Democrats pulled this stunt to highlight that, then it wouldn’t be so silly. Neither is this.

It shows he allows illegal contributions. If there re no safeguards (which they turned off, apparently) to verify names and addresses and the CCV number, then it is a means to collect illegal money.

Senor Silverback,

Como se dice “Viva el Rey Obama, gracias a Dios” en Ingles?

Exactly. There was another article posted here a couple of weeks ago. Somebody in (I think it was) London tested this, using fake names and addresses that did not match the billing address on the card. He made two $5 attempts on Obama’s donation web site, and they went through easily. He tried the same on Romney’s web site, and since they are set up to verify names and addresses against what is on record for the cardholder and the CCV is required, both attempts were rejected.

So is it silly that Obama ignores the laws to raise money?

Sure you’re not trying to cover for your fellow IL clown?

BTW, you guys are correct, this does indicate no safeguards and is a problem. I focused on the name more than the electronic forensic aspect. Mea culpa.

Whatever happened to that “BIG BOMBSHELL” that Hannity mentioned was coming a month ago about Obama and foreign donations?

Don’t make the foolish mistake that a few on here make concerning start dates and such. Just because someone has a recent start date doesn’t make you superior to them nor does it mean they are NEW to the world of politics. To think that someone is new means they are unknowing is ignorant.

I was just pointing out that it appeared you were trying to make this topic a non important one by saying what you did. As have others.

While I may have a newer start date than you I at least am able to see the importance in reading for comprehension.

Now, this is funny.

I used the word “indicates” so it was clear I had not drawn a rock-solid unmovable conclusion and you’re acting like I wrote your autobiography for you or something. But it gets funnier from there.

You say it’s a foolish mistake to make a judgment based on a join date, but you judged me to be assisting Carter the Second because he and I have lived in the same state.

You read where I said I was warning people about Obama before you got here and take that as meaning I think myself superior to you. Gee, no leap there!

You think I take a new person as unknowing when what I was pointing out was that you don’t know me. Then you went on to prove it. In technicolor with a cast of thousands.

You say you were just pointing out that I was “ trying to make this topic a non important one.” Oh, so did someone else write that part for you about me “covering for” Obama?

You say you know how to read for comprehension. Ah, so that’s why you took me to be a traitor to the conservative cause, because you’re such a fine reader. And you also know how to write for unfounded accusations. Such a skillset will take you far at HuffPo, but here we try to do better.

Seriously, grow some discernment.

Seems to me that Hannity heard someone could prove Obama was taking foreign donations, and he ran with it. The problem is, all that has been proved so far is that his website didn’t have safeguards it should have. Not exactly Charlie Trie or cash-for-nights-in-the Lincoln-Bedroom, you know?

Unless someone comes forward with footage of Obama taking a bag of cash from Mullah Omar, I think this is not going anywhere. Plus, some voters will ask, if donations were pouring in to Obama from around the world, why would the DNC be borrowing money?

The facts laid out in this thread are important, but probably won’t have much of an effect. Think of the press conference where Obama said your family doctor wants to schedule unnecessary surgery for little kids, and hardly anybody noticed because it was the same press conference where he said that the Cambridge police were a bunch of stupid racists. Extremely important fact, no effect.

Thanks for the update! The last thing I heard was Hannity on his radio show a month ago saying something like he wished he could tell us now but has sworn to not say anything but it was BIG.

Sometimes it’s better not to say anything until you know for sure.

Keep in mind that I’m not expressing something Sean said that I heard, I just am assuming that his BIG SCANDAL was the minor scandal that popped up a day or two after he said that. Much of the reason for that assumption is that he hasn’t had much of anything to say about it since, at least that I’ve heard or heard about.
