They are thankful they can talk about the weather and polls instead of the impeachable dereliction of duty by their flop of a president.
That was the tactic the news media agreed upon when they discussed with the White House how to moderate the debates. Why else would they all have used that technique?

No aspect of Watergate and Benghazi compares including cover-up -- and especially the MSM coverage.
Watergate had the MSM in a 24/7 frenzy. I recall TV network news being nothing but 30 minutes of Watergate -- even rehashing old news.
Nixon was covering for his staff -- IIRC Soviet and Red China comrade Armand Hammer (who owned Al Gore Sr) was successfully prosecuted only once in his life.. he got nailed for giving money to Nixon's White House to give to the Watergate defenders to help them through it all.
But they can't.
So...instead they are silent on this. They don't dare expose their viewers to the truth, especially not before the elections.
I guess, for MSNBC, ABC, CNN, CBS and the Liberal press ...the old saying is true...

IOW, it's the same technique they've used for the past 40 years to make sure the peasants learn only the "left" side of the news. They're just a little more bold about it these days because they think they've won the war.

Can you imagine what it’s like to be liberal media today? I wish I had stock in Tums and aspirin. They are sitting there looking at the Democrat Obama administration with an operation in Benghazi that makes Iran Contra look like kids selling lemonade. They are sitting in their office with their head in their hands looking at the Democrat Obama administration’s cowardly response to the fight in Benghazi that makes Carter and the failed Iranian hostage rescue attempt look like Eisenhower at Normandy. The liberal media is looking at the Benghazi coverup by the Democrat Obama administration and realizing it makes Watergate look like a whoopee cushion joke. And they are just sitting there, afraid to look at FOX News for fear they’ll see the story about who has been funding Obama and Hillary and the Democrats as they make British imperialism look like a holiday vacation. Ohhhhh....this is rich. The 2nd largest newspaper in Iowa after the Des Moines Register, the Cedar Rapids Gazette, endorsed Romney for President today. Both of those newspapers lean left and supported Obama in 2008, but both have now endorsed Romney. In the Gazette endorsement article, the Benghazi mess was cited as one of the primary reasons, as well as jobs and economy. So, the MSM may be ignoring it, but word is out at the local levels. It is the elephant in the room and the MSM is not going to have one iota of cred left when Romney wins in spite of their shameless pandering to the Obama campaign. I won’t be sorry to see them go. Time for an entirely new slate of reporters to take over our papers and airwaves.
