I’m pretty sure iPads are a cost savings vs. textbooks.
I base this on the fact that a bunch of our Catholic schools are using them here, and they are always on a bare bones budget.

Don’t know. Maybe someone has a copy they can post so we can check the educational value.

Beth Clark, assistant superintendent at Anderson Community Schools, would not discuss the issue
Privacy laws - still doing their jobs protecting government.

If she's young and attractive it's probably a PHOTOSHOPPED FAKE that somebody conjured up and now everyone is reacting.
Just a guess on my part.
Fakes are considered "big fun" and are being passed around on the cellphone/pad devices used by many young people.

Probably would have been OK if she had some pastries.

They can have numerous applications in the workplace.Like playing "Fruit Ninjas."
They could pay for themselves in reduced paper and copying alone.
There is absolutely no possibility that the school district's budget for paper and copying was reduced when they purchased iPads for the employees. This is a government program: costs only go up, never down.

When I take a picture on my iPhone, it is uploaded to iCloud, and then goes to ALL of my iCloud synced devices (iMac, MacBook, iPad). I use the feature all the time, as amy iPhone pics are fine for most of what I take. When I need more pixels, I uses my Canon!I must admit, I'm not nearly as tech-savvy as you. I tell people that I've been unable to take pictures with my cell phone because I can't figure out how to load the film into it.

Currently this thing is locked down tighter than Baraq’s college transcripts.
We may have to wait until the lawsuits hit the school corp.

The jury can wait. If it is worth getting expelled for, it is worth waiting for.

Why were the students playing a game on an iPad in the first place, regardless of who owned the iPad?

Why were the students playing a game on an iPad in the first placeMaybe the teacher was in the closet making out with one of their classmates and she didn't know they were using it.

Im pretty sure iPads are a cost savings vs. textbooks.
I doubt the digital textbooks are free; I doubt it's ipad vs books.
Probably more like licensing digital books and buying ipads to view them on.
Whatever the deal, I'll bet Catholic schools are getting far more for their dollars than gubmint schools. The gubmint schools want all the nice things and have no real concern for budget: vendors see them coming a mile away.

Heh heh. My folks bought my school supplies. But I saved them money in high school by skipping a lot of classes.

1.
"...expelled Tuesday after viewing a topless photo of one of their female teachers on the teachers school-issued iPad,..."OK: the kids should not have been toying with the teachers IPAD (dumb on her for leaving it about).
2. Sounds like teacher is misusing school property: kinda' like surfing for porn on the company's network.
The Kenyan must go.
