There was not to be a beer summit! This is political war and Barry wants a conversation? LOL! Who is advising him that he thought this was a night out w/the boys? I'm happy to see he underestimated how much America wants him GONE!

Obama couldn't carry on a conversation with the village idiot. The only people he "talks to" are his brain-dead followers and hangers-on who are with him as long as the money holds out.
He didn't want to have a conversation. He doesn't know how to have a conversation. He expected Jim Lehrer to run interference for him, and apparantly Romney rolled over Lehrer like he wasn't even there. Why should Romney respect the splutterings of a PBS loser host when debating a man who ignores federal court rulings and uses constitutional separation-of-powers principles for toilet paper?
It may be a set-up; next time will be closer to Election Day, and his base may get the debate they’re looking for, which will fire them up to get out the vote.
Yes, I know Obama has little substance, but he can make a show. The curiosity is why didn’t he even try?

Carville is acknowledging nothing. The line is: "Romney the bully beat up our gentle President, who was just trying to have a conversation."

I didn’t see the same debate everyone else saw, I suppose.
Obama essentially promised to implement Romney’s plan for America in his second term, and Romney essentially reminded him that he’d had four years and failed to do it.
So, Romney wins.
That, and by now most people have O’s number. What he says and does have only incidental relations with one another.
Romney wins for a second more important reason. This is the first time he has been able to present himself unmediated to the broader American public. Mostly he spends millions on speaking tours that get reported with a five second voice-over with the talking heads telling us what he said. Tonight he spoke directly to America, and America can see he’s a good guy, and a reasonable guy. And he has a better command of the facts than our current president, and a better grasp of the problems and the solutions.
This is one of the few debates, maybe the only one, in which the moderator didn’t try to debate the Republican himself. So, I was pleased with the moderator on that score. He was respectful of both parties and if Obama managed to steal more than his share of time, still, Romney managed to say what he had to say too.
I’m not a big Romney fan, but I was pleased with his performance. Obama needs a much bigger October Surprise today than he did yesterday.

Tonight Obama was a BB gun. Romney was a .50 caliber machine gun.
Take away the teleprompter and all you get out of Obozo is “and, uh, and, uh, and, uh, and, uh.”
Obozo’s incompetence was on show big time for all to see last night. The problem is that Obots won’t see it, no matter how bad it is.
Romney did exceedingly well, far in excess of my expectations, while the incompetent Obozo looked like deer in headlights.
