I'd like to try to do something productive ... but that's beyond my job grade!

Why should any president be involved to resolve an internal issue in sports, or any industry?

No, no. He and his Moose should be meeting with the hags on The View to talk about how he is “eye-candy”.
(I wish to God I had to use the sarc tag - but this is true. Sad but true.)

Isn’t is funny how failure refs create an united outrage across this country but a failure President doesn’t?
If only we demanded the same “integrity” choosing our leaders as we do in NFL referees.
To: Zakeet
But then he'd have to meet with every sports organization.

Condi would get this settled!

As bad is the replacement refs are, having Obama try to solve this will only make things worse.

The country is in the tank and MSNBC is discussing about sports.
So much for media having it’s mind on world events.

"MSNBC: Obama should be meeting with the NFL to resolve replacement refs issue" YES! Seriously I want to see that happen. Especially if he still won't meet with Netanyahu or his Jobs Council Goobers.

This is what happens when the NFL is run like the government. Lucy, Charlie Brown, and a football. Bad idea all around.

Why should any president be involved to resolve an internal issue in sports, or any industry? They shouldn't, but there is a precedent. Teddy Roosevelt intervened in football and advocated changing the rules to make it less violent. They did, including allowing forward passes.
To: Jonty30
Actually, it’s sad to say but if he stepped in and the issue got resolved by the election, it would be a huge plus for the One. That’s just the way it is.

You mean the way Clinton and the Wise Latina “fixed” the ‘94 baseball strike? No thanks!
