Glenn’s Labor Day weekend in NYC uncovers ugly hatred on American Airlines
Glenn Beck ^ | 9/4/12 | Glenn Beck

Posted on 09/04/2012 10:33:55 AM PDT by Nachum

GLENN: I want to spend some time giving you knowledge on, you’re close to winning. In fact, you’re so close to winning, the left and the uber left doesn’t even know how to deal with it, and they’re getting very, very angry. I’ve lived in New York for, what, five years? I’ve seen ‑‑ I’ve seen New York. I’ve seen the ugly side of New York, I’ve seen the good side of New York, but I have not seen what I have seen in the last weekend. In fact, my wife said she’s never going to New York again. It was ‑‑ it was quite amazing.

I want to tell you a little bit about my weekend and I want to personally thank American Airlines for bringing to my attention that they don’t mean “American Airlines.” They mean “liberal American Airlines” apparently. But let me start here. Do you remember when Clint Eastwood got up on stage and he said, “You know there’s a lot of ‑‑ there’s a lot of people in Hollywood. They just don’t make a big deal out of it.” Now why? I’ve spent a lot of time with a few people in Hollywood that are very big names, and they’ll tell you why. They don’t have five Oscars to their name. They don’t have Clint Eastwood’s reputation. They don’t have Jon Voight’s reputation where it’s Jon Voight. You want Jon Voight? You gotta take Jon Voight.

PAT: And you know what was interesting about Eastwood’s speech was that he only mentioned himself and Jon Voight.

GLENN: And Jon Voight. That’s it.

PAT: Because those are the two biggest.

GLENN: They don’t say it. Now why? Why? Because they know they’ll never work again. It’s blacklisting, and it’s wrong if you’re a suspected Communist

Disgusting treatment. Don’t care who ya’ are.

There’s speculation of who the restaurant is.

Did Memphis’ Neelys Diss Glenn Beck?

A pertinent excerpt: "On the way home I flew American Airlines, a Texas‑based airline. I, unlike all of the other passengers, was not offered the option of courteous service. I don’t know why. Did I have to pay more than I paid for my tickets? Is that something that you have to select now you? My flight attendant nearly ‑‑ merely barked the word “breakfast” when ***he*** came to me. When others were politely asked if they cared for anything to eat and given the choices, I was just barked at. When he delivered a soda, he slammed it down so hard, I hesitated to even open the can for fear that it would spray all over other passengers in the cabin. By the way, the other passengers, nobody else had to open their can. He opened it and poured it for them. Never once did he look me in the eye. Never once did he offer a kind or even a neutral word to me. I had service unlike I have never had ever before in my life, and I have had rude service before. I lived in New York City. I have never had service that was specifically designed to make me feel subhuman. Oh, I had it. He put on quite a show as he fawned over the other passengers proudly and loudly performing his life story about being a former Israeli soldier and how he was so proud of the very liberal cities in America."

The very worst thing for American Airlines right now would be for those of a conservative viewpoint to book other airlines.

American has too many problems to be picky about who they insult.

That employee represents the airline.

In the same way, I would fire him. Being rude to a customer is unacceptable.

My employee represents me. If my employee is insulting, how long do you think I can stay competitive.

>>I’m tired of being treated as a criminal, a disease, mentally challenged, stupid, or subhuman just because I happen to believe that the founders weren’t racists, that the Constitution was and still is inspired and the greatest document for government ever created, that the military is not full of a bunch of baby‑killers, or that we shouldn’t spend the money that we don’t have, or that we should stick up for the little guy, the small business owner, that the corrupt businessman should go to jail and that capitalism is still the best system to lift people out of poverty.<<

Glenn's awful treatment merely reflects what the so called progressives have done to our society. A republic cannot stand this and remain free.

He was careful not to say. It would be interesting to note. I keep kosher, so it doesn't matter much to me personally, but nobody wants to be treated like Beck was.

New York City is lib-central. A person has to be careful with their opinions there.

American Airlines
July 1968 ... after 13 months in VN, I got on an AA plane (in my MC uniform) in SF, headed for Chicago.
For four hours I was essentially ignored and requests for food, beer, water, etc., were met with "when I get time."
For the next 35 years in business, I flew around America probably 100 times ... NEVER on an AA plane.

Well, don’t bother with Alaska Airlines. They are THE homosexual airline:

http://www.alaskaair.com/content/gay-travel.aspx

You can’t get there from the normal Alaska Airlines web site. You have to know about it. They sometimes offer deals there that are better than for the rest of their customers. It’s a secret a lot of normal people use.

The blindness of the Jews in this country, and elsewhere is sad. I guess they have forgotten that Hitler was a socialist that just wanted to relocate them.

This flight attendant is an angry poofter who needs to be fired if he cannot treat all people equally. As for the restaurant, the name Neeley came to mind. If that is the case they need to put up a sign “LIBERALS ONLY”. Abraham Lincoln would not be welcome!

If the flight attendant isn’t called on the carpet about this, I will be surprised. AA is very strict with their flight attendants and doesn’t put up with any BS from them.

How could this play out? I mean, really. If Glenn Beck had a medical emergency, could this FA refuse to help? Could he refuse to assist him off of the plane in an emergency? I would not trust him with my safety in any situation. There is absolutely no place anywhere for this type of hatred that was directed at Mr. Beck and for some group of people to promote themselves as ‘safety professionals’ they ALL need to act the part.

If I ran AA, I would fire this guy. And apologize to Mr. Beck for this jerk’s immature, pathetic behavior after putting out the word that this will NEVER, ever be tolerated towards any customer.

GB should have documented everything so he'd have evidence when he sues them.

When people who are supposed to be serving me act like that (AND because I always PAY MY OWN WAY) I quietly look them in the eye while I ask them their name and their manager's name..all the while jotting it down.

Then just walk away and carry through informing their manager about their conduct.

I have specifically avoided AA for years. As a subscriber to the “Limbaugh Letter”, I was treated poorly by AA from JFK to LHR on a few occasions. I switched to CO from EWR to LGW and IAH to LGW. For a while I used Maxjet too. My monthly “commute” from USA to GB and CZ lasted from 1998 through 2007 when I finally moved to GB. I proudly read my “letters” without incident after leaving AA.

Most male flight attendants are gay and most “out” gays believe that anyone who opposes gay marriage is a “hater”. So, I agree that the issue is one (homosexual) employee, not an airline. However, since that one employee was representing AA, the story IS about the airline. If AA doesn't investigate this and reprimand the flight attendant, then the story does become one about an airline.

I started flying in uniform in 1966 and believe me, they treated everyone like gold - even those of us on military standby.
But by the time I returned from VN in '68, people's attitudes toward the VN War (and VN vets) had changed significantly.
Were United's stews as opinionated as AAs? Eastern Air Lines? Pan Am? Perhaps.
But that was the last time I flew while in the service so, personally, I'll never know.

Back when I was doing a lot of coast-to-coast flying, I always flew America West. Their frequent flyers program started upgrading you to First Class after 25,000 miles.

Once in First Class, I noticed that the flight attendants would go back into coach and fill any empty First Class seats with any active service military they could locate.

I got to sit next to a young Marine from Monessen, PA, who was heading home for Christmas who was blown away by the idea that he was getting this kind of treatment.

For those service personnel who they couldn’t upgrade, the flight attendants always paid them a little extra attention. It was little stuff, like hanging a young officers pressed uniform in the employees’ locker at the back of the plane so it wouldn’t get wrinkled in the overhead, but you could tell the guys really appreciated it.

I haven’t flown them much since they acquired USAirways and adopted the larger airlines name as their own so I don’t know if they still make that extra effort.
