I think that there's a fair amount of historical animosity between Sikhs and Hindus.Don't know where,if anywhere,moslems might fit into that mosaic.

Everyone I know at my congregation is a gun owner and that includes the preacher. Woe unto the thug who tries to make off with the collection plate. The Second Amendment is the Eleventh Commandment as far as we're concerned. Guns are the guarantor of liberty.

They don’t *only* carry knives. Sikhs do have to carry a knife as part of their religion. That is mandated from way back when in order to defend the religion.

Sikhs were always the main source of warriors in India although they are excellent business men and traders as well. In this case it’s unlikely the shooter was a Sikh, but I wouldn’t be surprised to hear many have firearms at home.
