Four years ago, President Obama became the first Democrat since 1964 to win Indiana. He looks unlikely to repeat that feat.

I can’t speak for other areas of Indiana, but around here, they are building hundreds of those f’n 400 foot windmills in some of the best cropland in the country.

Property values around them have plummetted. Nobody want to live around the damn things. A $200,000 house before the housing bubble hit dropped their value by about 20%.

Obama Quixote and his windmills, just brought them down another 40%.

I know a few long time Democrats who will be living and farming in the shadows of those things. And many of the non-farmers are selling out.

Believe me when I say, they speak of Obama in terms that would get me banned from the internet if I posted them.

Obamas Economic Recovery Chief, Jeffrey Immelt, the CEO of GE, is smiling. Those 65 ton nacelles on top of the mast, are built by none other than GE.

I haven’t been able to find out yet if they were actually built in the USA.

Oh, fer crying out loud. We don’t PREFER RomneyCare. We didn’t pick Romney. Our primary is held long after the decision has already been made.

We’ve worked our butts off in this state and accomplished quite a lot. Bayh is gone and so is Lugar, hopefully to be replaced by solid conservative this time around.

I suspect you could be right. We should hammer the gay issue as one of the secondary issues in this campaign. I fear that Romney will not want to touch it though.

The rats are trying to equate homosexual marriage = civil rights, in an effort to rally dispirited young voters to a noble cause. They hope to get them out of their parents basements long enough to vote democrat.

This is a looser for the republicans. Not one vote in the base to be energized by this.

Let the black community deal with this as they see fit.

And we must quit using the gay word and start calling it what it is.

I see those windmill blades, being hauled by semis, going up 65N all the time.

This is another field in central IN. east of Kokomo.

Only a few people must have actually read the contracts when they signed on to lease their ground.

E-On Energy now has total control over ALL of their land with that lease for 20 years. You can’t build a building or plant a single tree without their permission and apporval.

That is a huge swing in the voting preferences. If I am correct, it means that 8% of the voters switched from pro-Obama to anti-Obama.

So, if every state would switch from 3-8% away from BHO, this will indeed, be a landslide election.

We’ll have to wait and see - and work hard for this cause, and pray even more!

If we had any nominee to the right of Bill Clinton we would win this thing easily. We do not.

You got that right. Start with Bill Clinton -- then remove the personality and the libido -- you're left with Mitt Romney.

“Indiana’s 80% non-Hispanic white. Romney is reputedly getting 65% of the white vote nationally. If he’s getting that in Indiana, that’s 52% right there. “

There are a lot of other states with high percentages of NH whites. It is going to be VERY DIFFICULT for President Obama to put together a winning set of states if he doesn’t do something about the white vote, and very quickly. States that are discounted from the start, like MI, MN, and WI come into play...I smell a landslide too.

Another thread on which good news for Romney turns into an anti-Romney circle-jerk.

You guys will have your "principles", but you won't have a country. Thanks.

Thanks. I need to remember that.

Seems our time could be better spent working together to save this country from the lunatics than making ridiculous, baseless comments.

I don't buy it. The rest of Indiana is not populous enough to overcome massive 0bama support in Marion County (Indianapolis) and Lake County (Gary). It's going to be tough for Romney to take back any 0bama states from 2008.

I think you’re wrong, and Dems are on the run here in Indiana.

They got so scared they even flushed old Pat Bauer as state Dem house minority leader.

Our current State stats:

State House of Representatives
R - 60 D - 40

State Senate
R - 36 D - 13

Smells like an Obama defeat to me!
