WASHINGTON - The governor of Virginia became the latest politician to offer his perspective on a controversy that could banish Chick-Fil-A from jurisdictions nationwide.
When asked about the backlash stemming from the fast food restaurant's public opposition to gay marriage, Gov. Bob McDonnell said, "I love chicken."
Following a pause, the governor continued: "If we start having governments issue permits or zoning changes, or withholding those because of someone's political or religious beliefs, we are going down a very bad road."
"I think people have an ability to start and grow a business regardless of their political beliefs," he said, while speaking on WTOP's "Ask the Governor" program.

I agree...where is Romney ?
A prefect opportunity to shine bright, and he’s MIA.
“The governor of Virginia became the latest politician to offer his perspective on a controversy that could banish Chick-Fil-A from jurisdictions nationwide. “
By what Blue Fairy wand-waving does the writer figure this will happen?
I agree, eat mor libuls.
I couldn’t make it yesterday, but I went there today to show my support.
Facebook was alive yesterday with photos of Virginia activists at CFA. I searched in vain for pics with Romney, George Allen, McDonnell, or my US House candidate. Very disappointing.
Scratch a liberal and you’ll find a fascist.
Good crowd?
I send suggestion to them. Maybe others can help here’s there site .

I knew not to hold my breath about Mittens weighing in. Not more than 5 minutes age, Michelle Bachman got a campaign contribution after I got an email with a link to her with her Chick-fil-a order yesterday. Since I don’t have a Chick-fil-a, I figured I’d cover her lunch.
He's gotta be on his third box of Depends(tm) after yesterday's turn out.

I don't think we need him to weigh in on every issue...especially the issues where the citizens are fighting the good fight just fine on their own.
I agree with your point that Romney fights a different battle while we handle this one. I would, however, between now and election day; love to see him visit a CFA when the timing and place are appropriate.

I totally agree............
Dan Cathy for President!
For the record, Romney just got back from his trip overseas. Good Lord, give the man a day to rest, will you?

Bad road? No an illegal one. It would be patently illegal/unconstitutional to use the power of public office to denty a business a permit based on a politicians dislike of the business onwers persoanl political viewpoint.
