I think Ed Lee is trying to re-establish a bit of his “progressive” credentials after alienating people with his unrelenting pursuit of suspended Sheriff Ross Smirkirimi.
Lee’s pursuit of Mirkirimi was stupid. Not sure that it was either progressive or conservative, though. He should have let the process take it’s course. If anything, I think Lee’s efforts helped Mirkirimi.
