Israel’s Channel 10: U.S. Officials Believe Israel Will Strike Iran at End of Summer

JULY 26, 2012 11:34 AM

According to Israel’s channel 10 news, “many U.S. officials” believe that Israel is tired of diplomacy with Iran, and in the estimation of the officials, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has already decided on an Israeli attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities in the fall, right at the conclusion of the summer.

The report, by journalists Emmanuel Rosen, Or Heller and Omri Nehemias adds that Israel’s ‘Octet’ -the name given to the Prime Minister’s inner cabinet that would be responsible for the initial decision over an Iran strike – has not met in two months, which they say raises the possibility that Netanyahu and Barak are working alone, and will adopt a decision on the matter with limited consultation.

According to the report, it is still unclear whether the talk of action in the near future will materialize or whether Netanyahu and Barak are only interested in creating such an impression. “Only the future will tell whether this is a diplomatic game or a real option,” they conclude.

In March, The Algemeiner cited a report from Israel’s Channel 2 sourcing a “senior American official saying “that the decision has already been made by the Israeli government to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities.”

“All U.S. intelligence officials are confident the Israeli leadership has already decided to attack Iran, unless a significant change happens in the coming weeks or months with the Iranian nuclear program,” Channel 2 reported at the time.

All they have to do is skirt the Arabian Peninsula. The Saudis aren’t going to put any planes in the air. I watched as a Israeli plane flew over Tabuk, landed at the airport and the Saudi pilots sat huddled over a quick cup of tea and the Pakistani pilots sat and laughed. Neither did a thing.

The pilot was a female, she walked out on the wing, dropped off a small pig onto the runway and then flew away.

Nothing was mentioned.

I didn’t see the pig or the woman but I heard about it from a group of contractors who had just arrived a few minutes before she landed.

There was a bunch of us at the end of the runway watching and expecting something major to happen, but it never did.

The way things are going, the Israelis may to take out Iran, so that they can deal with Syria.

About 5 years ago the US was supposed to take out Iran, while Israel took out Syria. Times have changed.

Thank you for your feedback.
I totally agree that it is pure unadulterated BS (Brilliant Strategy).
It is nice when one agrees with my personal insights into a particular subject.
Thanks
