World War I Luger pistols (P08) were available with drum magazines. I've also seen drums for Colt 1911 pistols. Both are rare but not a figment of some reporters imagination. From a tactical standpoint pistols with drums are awkward, difficult to hold on target (balance), impossible to conceal, and have problematic reliability feeding). All good reasons to leave such for collectors with deep pockets.

Well, I would hope so lol. My husband was making an observation. He's about 100% at picking out a liar so I lean towards his quickie gut assessment. The perp will be evaluated no doubt. I hear the latest is he's claiming amnesia although I haven't read the whole story behind that. Also, as part of this guys neuroscience education he's had some mental health education, I forget the details but he has some knowledge. So he probably knows that crazy doesn't=berzerk. This guy isn't dumb. The puzzle factor is the notebook mailed to the psychiatrist.
