The comments of so many here are so ignorant as to be worthy of the DU Hall of Fame.

JoPa was a fine man being besmirched by the same liberal trash MSM that so many here lament, but embrace in their current bottom feeding frenzy.

I am ashamed of all of you - JoPa was a great man & Penn St doing this simply greases the skids on what was a fine legacy.
Enjoy yourselves DUmmies!

I certainly will not look at any further responses here & I certainly will not contribute to any further alumni requests either.

I propose that we should racer to Joe Paterno as Joe Patina since what you see in the outside is no representation of the inside.

“The Paterno family plans to launch its own investigation in the wake of the Freeh report.”

“The Paterno Family?” Sounds like a crime syndicate. I guess in a perverse way it is!

On the contrary, I think they should build two Paterno statues identical to the first, line them up and make one cover his eyes, one cover his ears, and one cover his mouth. Then engrave “See no Evil. Hear no Evil. Speak no Evil.” below them.

This report has bounced around first reported.

First, it was denied in its entirely by the Board of Trustees.

About 1:45 this afternoon, there's a report from a few Trustees that the decision as to the status of the statue is up to the President of Penn State (wouldn't want the backlash to affect the Board members, would they?).

School president to make statue call

They should just throw a blanket over the statue. They’ll have no problem doing it. They know how to cover things up at PSU!

It's a shame that Joe Paterno did not live long enough to see his statue removed and his "legacy" destroyed.

Legacy indeed. The guy coached football. Why we lionize these people in the first place is beyond me.

Shut down Penn State. Get rid of it.

Paterno was guilty of willful blindness and Sandusky was a low-level pedophile.

The big Gay mafia criminals are getting off scot-free. That is the un-prosecuted undisclosed scandal here.

... the homo-agenda rocks on.
