This report has bounced around first reported.

First, it was denied in its entirely by the Board of Trustees.

About 1:45 this afternoon, there's a report from a few Trustees that the decision as to the status of the statue is up to the President of Penn State (wouldn't want the backlash to affect the Board members, would they?).

School president to make statue call

OK, thanks for the clarification.

However, I still say Penn State will bow to public pressure and move the statue.

Getting that board of trustees to arrive at a decision is like hearding cats. I expect that Spanier & his predecessors spent most of their time just trying to achieve a consensus. One thing is for darn sure: the Trustess weren’t looking over Spanier’s shoulder any more than Spanier was looking over Paterno’s.

Now everybody is running for the tall grass. One of the Trustees announced his resignation yesterday.
