Otherwise, why plan the thing like he did and only think it through far enough to run into, what had to be, a parking lot crawling with police?
This guy is either totally cracked or else the plot was larger and he didn’t have time to finish?

I agree. It’s not adding up. As I just posted, also, why did he give the police the heads up about his apartment after taking so much time to booby trap it and schedule loud music to play from 12 - 1. He was protected with gear from head to toe, yet didn’t resist arrest? Makes no sense to me. I don’t even understand why he bothered to fire the warning shot at the ceiling?
