Police say apartment of lone wolf killer James Holmes, 24, is booby-trapped as his mother says 'you've got the right man'

Police have evacuated the area surrounding the apartment of the man suspected of shooting dead at least 12 people and wounding 50 others during a late-night screening of the new Batman movie as they reveal his home is booby-trapped.
James Holmes, 24, told officers he had explosives stored at his apartment when he was arrested after opening fire at random at the mall in Aurora, Colorado.
Police said they were forced to evacuate Holmes' apartment block, situated four miles from the scene of the horrific crime in North Aurora, and five surrounding buildings.

Aurora Police Chief Dan Oates says bomb technicians are determining how to disarm flammable or explosive material in the third-floor apartment. He says police could be there some time.
Oates says pictures from inside the apartment are fairly disturbing and the devices look to be sophisticated.

True about few able to go out, especially for a midnight movie. During my time you had to check in by 2:00 AM. My buddy and I got a rare Saturday night pass and went to Denver to see a late movie, on the weekend the clocks changed. We could never get an answer about 2:00 AM old time or new time, and had to miss the last 20 minutes of "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid", much to the dismay of our dates.
Can’t confirm this but Mark Steyn in for Rush Limbaugh just said that this story line was actually one that appeared in Batman in the early 80’s: a guy who enters a movie theater and guns down theater-goers.
One of the theaters in Paris have canceled the showing of the movie,at least for now.

Something about this whole thing stinks. He didn’t have the background to do this alone. Notice how fast the FBI is potentially getting involved? Yeah, Obambi’s nervous too.

May not be the same theater but I saw a couple of movies at plex near the Aurora mall back in ancient times when I was at Lowry.

I agree. He was used to rally the American people against guns in advance of Obama’s signing of the U.N. gun control treaty. More than one witness is reporting that the killer received a phone call while in his seat, then exited the back of the theater. Did he have help bypassing the exit door for his way back in? We’ll never know. This rings too similar to the Jared Loughner incident. 0bama will make another ‘stadium speech’, with all his female, gay and Hispanic 0bamabots opening the ceremony. The killer’s cellphone tells all, but my guess is an agency with three initials will scrub the critical call.. Because it’s from them.
