LOL—idiot. All born in those days had the records microfilmed. My birth certificate is a picture of the microfilm. These brilliant cub reporters. LOL

Not only that, but microfilm can be tested for its age. If they were to attempt to create a fake microfiche, it would be pretty obvious very quickly. That's why he wants the microfiche. If a section has been cut and spliced together or the entire reel reburned, the forensics would reveal it. You can't fake a reel of microfiche from the 1960s.

I think it was said to be film roll not ‘fische sheet, but yes the decay of the volatile chemicals would date it on IR SPEC and if they cooked it to simulate age the base would show it
