In the WND article, and from what I heard when I listend to the press conference, it was stated that the visitor logs were open to the public. But not to the investigators.

IMHO, the even bigger deal than what you described is that Zullo essentially stated that any birth certificate from Hawaii may be only Prima Facie evidence. Hence none of the data received by the HDOH was EVER verified and that secondary sources MUST be used to prove in a court of law that the subject was born in Hawaii. In other words, all Hawaiian birth certificates are only worth the paper they are printed on...
So we all need to stop harping on Hawaii to produce the original because even if they did, it would prove nothing (except maybe that the one released by Obama was not from them).
Federal employees have to have registered for the Selective Service except for a short window of birth years when it wasn’t mandatory, but 0kaka’s presumed birth year was a year in which it was mandatory.
There is a database - the Selective Service guys have it but they won’t show what they have to Arpaio’s team, they already asked to see verification.
How ‘bout that, Ron! I’ve pinged a few, and there are more who should realize the import of all the reams of doggedly hunted down unearthed clues.
I must admit to moments of eeriness during Zullo’s statements .. deja vu .. could’ve been an echo chamber at some points from here about 1-1/2 to 2 yrs ago during those pages and pages of intense, detailed and perhaps now possibly quite accurate fine-toothed FReeper research.

It clearly states that this is an “abstracted document”. I did research at the time on the meaning of “abstracted document” for a birth certificate and it can be a collection or compilation of information from any number of sources.
Based on my research, an “abstracted birth certificate” is virtually worthless as an official document and cannot be used to verify identity for a drivers license, passport or many other official purposes.
Yes, it is obvious that Hawaii gave him a new number. They probably re-sequenced a batch of HI BCs for the purpose to conceal. And all administratively done.
The only thing that comes to my mind is that the Mac and Windows savants were there just in case the s** flinging monkeys - oops, I mean the media representatives - asked any questions that required more proof of photoshopping as evidence.
