It appears the modern Catholic view is that a suicide is a sign of mental illness and I know of at least one suicide (about 30 years ago) who received a standard Catholic funeral.
Anti depressants prescribed by her doctor who stated were normal levels for the prescribed dosage.

Solzhenitsyn wrote about the difficulty of hanging himself while in the Gulag through slow strangulation. It’s pretty much impossible to stop yourself from resisting it.
You are referring to the Kennedy who managed to kill himself by skiing into a tree. I believe he and his friends were tossing a football back and forth as they skied down the slopes. I’ll bet alcohol was involved

Btw, as I said earlier, I never correct anyone else's grammar.
But sometimes I appreciate seeing the grammar police swoop in. The way I see it, tolerance of bad grammar is a Left-wing, teachers' union sort of thing. We conservatives believe in higher standards.
