AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, serving humanity simply by showing up, and he’s not retiring until every American agrees with him, do NOT doubt him, with shrieks of joy at the mere mention of his name (that’s Rush, for those in Rio Linda),the Mandarin of Talk Radio, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back — just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, all-concerned Maha-Rushie! America’s anchorman, truth detector, and doctor of democracy. A Real Man, a living legend, a way of life. Commander in Chief of U.S. Operation Chaos. Chief Waga-Waga El Rushbo of the El Conservo Tribe. Chief of the Patriotism Police. Leader of the Conservative Movement. A Weapon of Mass Instruction. El Rushbo (a little Spanish lingo, there). He is the man who is running America (you know it and I know it). He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do—that’s host. Get ready to what you were born to do—that’s listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).

I think that Romney is laying low until late August before he will POUNCE.

You are on a roll and thank you for speaking the truth to people that need it badly.

Rahm reminded me of the Heads of the Families talking about moving into the drug business after Vito got out of the hospital (The Godfather).

The only thing missing from Rahm's talk was...

"Keep it respectable".

Well Rush is correct, not just the economy, but also of values.

It’s July. People are not paying attention. Best thing Romney can do is relax, raise money and plot his fall campaign. And he will prevail. Americans are tired of the incompetence of Barack Obama.

Rush is and has been saying that romney has to do this himself and Rush is concerned because romney and his handlers do not want to offend their elite liberal friends in the press and their friends across the isle and they dare not put themselves into a situation where obama can call him a racist. IOW they live in fear and are not fighting and that romney needs to take it to obama and show no mercy. I listen every day.

Also, he is not allowed to use any of his campaign funds since he is still campaigning in the primary, and so can only spend primary money.

What conservatives lack is a stated vision for what America would look like in a Conservative world. Where is the overall cultural impetus for conservative values? There isn’t one. It is a vacuum of “anti” socialist values.

We argue that they should not restrict our religion by taxing, say, contraceptives for Catholics. It is an “anti” argument.

What is the positive statement of that idea? Where are the conservatives who articulate that conservative idea?

That was the brilliance of Reagan. He articulated a vision of what he wanted, as well as a criticism of what he did not want.

The nation as a whole has violated and breached the social contract that is embodied in the US Constitution. As a people, we accepted that structure. As heirs, we disclaim it. There is no social contract and societal structure any longer.

I shudder to think of the terms of a Constitution if it were to be drafted at a convention today. I don’t think we could do it.

The key to understanding what has changed is understanding that the world does not want to work any longer and the individual is no longer regarded as the basic building block of society, followed by family, followed by community.

The hive mentality of the collective is now regarded as the basic building block of society, with the individual only important as a part of the overall hive production.

I am a wasp, not a honey bee. I don’t fit in here any more.

That argument has been shot down badly and many times in the past week. Half of the country is on EBT cards/food stamps... the economy is in free fall, inflation is raging, energy prices are raging... unemployment is extremely high and rising... GDP is shrinking and spending has hit 105% of GDP... 16 Trillion dollars in deficit... obamacare and amnesty are real and being implemented without the consent of the governed... the world stands at the brink of a world war staring in the ME... the fate of Israel hangs in the balance and we have two progressive liars of the largest magnitiude running for President. The truth is... anyone that is NOT paying attention right now is not anyone that will be voting in November. None of your common wisdom about general elections applies in this one... because we have never seen America in such a dangerous situation... our Founders did... the WWII generation did... but not this electorate.

That’s a good analysis.

However, I just can’t understand how Mitt could have been so ruthless toward his primary rivals, and such a pu$$y when it comes to Obama.

Thank you.

I share a bit of your concern. He was an abosolute jerk in the primaries. If Romney doesn't ramp it up after September 1st, I'll be much, much more worried.

Well, let's conduct a test, MSM. Let's see if you have any logic:

- You are out there saying that Republicans are having a hard time getting any traction on ObamaTAX.
- You are also out there DEFENDING the President.
- You still hold a decent amount of clout with the American Public.
- So, if there is a semi-dominant media source NOT telling the truth but helping out in a campaign strategy, how is there going to be any traction.

Let's now conduct another test:

- All MSM sources, go out full-bore in support of the almost 70% of Americans and attack the Obama Administration on ObamaTAX.
- Watch traction.

Hey Rush, the Repubs will fall into the usual Lull after winning it all and
mimic the Dems by taking their agenda and try to do it better their way.

Just like Romney saying he will replace Obamacare. We don't need to do anything better,
the Gov needs to get out of the way and allow interstate commerce of Health insurance, like auto insurance and life.
And of course, not better, but less.

:-O

I agree whole hardily but

:-O

In the back of my mind something keeps telling me he’s waiting till the end or
a debate to go negative and retaliate to all the lies. I don’t know if that is the
best way to handle it but maybe it is. All I know is he can’t go “new tone” à la
GWB.

I meant the word as in “cat.” ;-)

Anyway, I hope you’re right about the last-minute attack but part of me fears he’s another McCain.
