Agreed.
This polygraph, the jailhouse conversations regarding money with the missus, the second passport, the failure to disclose $200k in internet donations....
All make George look bad.

however, there is zero evidence anywhere that he murdered, and this charge is all but certain to be bogus.

If George looks bad I’d hate to see what one would have to do to look good in this case. Would standing up in the courtroom and shouting “I love the black community” then strangling yourself satisfy you?

This polygraph, the jailhouse conversations regarding money with the missus, the second passport, the failure to disclose $200k in internet donations.... First, the donations were public knowledge, how can he hide that?
Second, the donations were meant for his defense costs so it really isn't his money to use for any other purpose.
Third, the polygraph is to his benefit, it corroborates everything else in this case, how does that make him look bad?

Not so in my opinion. Think of the alternative, or if he had refused. It was obviously of use to the police in corroborating all the evidence that pointed to his innocence to the point that they didn't charge him. The fact that he passed an imperfect test is one more indicator that there is really no case to be made that he is guilty of a crime. By itself it is not dispositive, but it removes one more of the ever shrinking underpinnings of the prosecutor's case. They have no physical evidence, no medical evidence, no witnesses, and now no intent or ‘state of mind’ evidence to contradict Mr. Zimmerman's account of what happened. In short they got nothing except a tainted jury pool.

.
All assertions WRT the above are known to be false and misleading. All donations had been disclosed, and the passports were in the possession of his counsel, not held back.
