December 1940 says “Hello” and September 1862 is waving, too!

If it’s deemed unconstitutional, the States WILL NOT have to abide by it. Trust me, this will get very ugly for the Kenyan.

Nope. Cngress has wllowed obama to emasculate them. By Congress I mean the Republicans. I expect the Democrats to go along with obama. But for the Republicans to roll over on their backs and spread their legs and stick them in the air....

KENNEDY, J., delivered the opinion of the Court, in which ROBERTS, C. J., and GINSBURG, BREYER, and SOTOMAYOR, JJ., joined. SCALIA, J., THOMAS, J., and ALITO, J., filed opinions concurring in part and dissenting in part.

(Anyone else think it's interesting that Kagan wasn't involved in the SB 1070 decision AT ALL? Does that mean anything? Or nothing?)

KAGAN, J., took no part in the consideration or decision of the case.

“ON thing that bothers me is the confidence that most conservatives have that “at least the mandate will be overturned”.”

I agree. Republicans and conservatives assume the mandate will be struck down. The constitution doesn’t matter anymore - socialism/communism/Hussein rules the country now and I expect the court to throw in with King Hussein.

If they uphold that law, I’d like to throw a fork at them as the latest weapon of choice these days seems to be a fork.

Doesn’t mean much. Queen Botox comes apart at the seams at virtually anything.

Perhaps, but something definitely turned up her crazy wick in recent days. And anything that disturbs Nancy is generally good for the Republic.

Obama”care” is the Death Knell for the United States of America.

The USA Federal Government is broke, and is forced to borrow 3 1/2 BILLION dollars from our grandchildren EVERY DAY!

This then is the Federal Grandchildren Tax, or FGT, separate from the FIT or Federal Income Tax that only 51 % of us pay.

2012 is the third year of the American Taxpayer Revolt, in spite of what our sorry politicians and apathetic Liberal Agenda Media try to tell us.

The Silent Majority is silent no more.

If Romney is elected he has promised to “keep the best parts” of Obama”care” and send it back to each of the 50 States, resulting in the Death Knell of each of the 50 States that choose to keep the Obama”care” Death Knell.

Right now there is a 50-50 chance that Obama will get re-elected.

No matter that Obama was the worst Federal Financial Steward EVER!

If Obama gets re-elected he will just declare, by Executive Order, that Obama”care” is legal, and thus the demise of America will be accomplished during his Reign of Obamanation.

If THE NINE SUPREMES knock down ANY part of Obama”care,” then Senate Minority Leader Son-of-a-Mitch McConnell and Esteemed Sobber-of-the-House Boehner will rush to replace the Court-damaged parts of America’s Death Knell.

The only possible positive outcome will be to ABOLISH FOREVER Obama”care.”

America cannot afford to continue Federal programs to buy votes with debt that we charge to our Grandchildren.

BTW, it is all very simple as illustrated by the words of Paul Harvey: “ WHEN YOUR OUTGO EXCEEDS YOUR INCOME, YOUR UPKEEP WILL BE YOUR DOWNFALL.”

why wait? Congress can defund it now.

Oh ya.. the house is full of Bonehead types.

Don’t count on Romney or house republicans to stop this. They WILL disappoint you.

Oh, no doubt, but people will demand the Marxist's political head should he try some form of executive ploys. Governing against the will for the people and the court on such a volatile issue won't play out well for this fool.

It won’t be upheld it has no basis in law.

That used to a valid line of reasoning until 1962 SCOTUS to remove prayer from the school. Since then, the SCOTUS has been in a free fall, with 99 of every 100 rulings to the severe detriment & destruction of our once formerly great nation.

In 1973, Roe vs Wade had no basis, none whatsoever in the U.S. Constitution. Instead Blackmun found the basis among the penumbras & emanations (wisps & vapors) throughout the Constitution, that now grants a constitutional right (like life, liberty & the pursuit of happiness) for a woman to kill her own baby.

The cowardly SCOTUS will vote to uphold 0dumb0care 6-3, with Roberts & Kennedy voting with the 4 socialist (including the 2 lesbians). Or maybe they just are too cowardly to act on it at all, and will kick it 8-1, back to the Appeals court, so they can avoid ruling on this until after the 2012 election. In which case, 0dumb0 will claim the ruling has now given legitimacy to his 0dumb0care bill, and he will hammer cowardly Romney & cowardly Repubs for ever claiming this was unconstitutional.

The sickest part is that we are waiting for 9 unelected “men in black” to save us.

Heaven forfend the GOP House should actually do something that is completely within their power, like pulling all funding for Ubama’s Mengelecare. The Senate couldn’t do a damn thing about it.

No. Instead we’re waiting for the scumbag Supreme Court as they show us peons how mighty they are, dragging out the suspense and wringing their hands in glee at how everybody is waiting on THEM to make their proclamation from on high. Screw everybody.

I saw one of those once when I had kings full of aces. True story.

I have never had a royal in straight poker, but I have had a couple in Holdem tournaments.

That said, even if they don’t uphold the mandate or any part of it, the Congress will huff and puff for electioneering, but they will then proceed to put something like it in place.

Remember they have said all along repeal and replace. Question is with what?

Romney could beat Obama with it if it is upheld.

Please explain to me how the grand father of Obamacare will be able to do this?

Ive been reading Scalia’s dissenting opinions since he was confirmed. IMO he tends to telegraph his frustrations with being on the losing side especially towards the end of the term.

I would not bet they are going to uphold it but the fact that Roberts and Kennedy bitch slapped Arizona today makes me wonder.

Roberts will be writing the opinion so its safe to assume what ever way he comes down that will be the majority opinion of the court.

BTW I would not be at all surprised if they kick the the can down the road by ruling its a tax or is in the nature of a tax and cannot be challenged until it is assessed. The fact that eight justices were willing to defer consideration of the effects of that portion of the Arizona law allowing law enforcement questioning of detainees makes me think that outcome is certainly possible.

My gut tells me Roberts does not want the Court to be perceived as pastisian and I could see a 6-3 decision by the court refusing to take up the individual mandate at this time..but I would not bet on it

It's simple. If Obamacare is upheld, the Federal government has broken the social compact, and in essence has decided to go rogue.

In a different age, that would prompt the ignoring of any further diktat out of DC, and in the most extreme case, revolt.
