Paul Ryan is a very bold choice. If any criticism can be make, it’s that choosing him is too bold, too risky. Ryan has shown amazing political courage and is one of the political heroes of this decade. Choosing him would excite the base big time, but carry great risk, as well.
IMHO, the running mate will be either Rob Portman or Tim Pawlenty.
How do you reckon, exactly?
(I'm not disagreeing with your assessment, I just wonder what precisely you are thinking. Thanks.)
He has nice hair though which could lure some 20-something bimbo females who focus heavily on style away from Obama. Whatever it takes! LOL!

Why would he be risky?

I agree Ryan would be a bold choice, but I think it would be a mistake to pull him from the House. Portman or Pawlenty may be less bold/exciting/charismatic, but Portman in particular knows the budget inside/out/backwards and could easily be tasked with entitlement/budget reform, working hand-in-glove with Ryan on the House side and his Senate colleagues to get it done. In the latter regard he actually has a leg up on Ryan.
I think either you or Josh Mandel will be the VP pick...my darkhorse pick is Al Roker.
