Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said this week that President Obama never made a sincere effort to reach out to him after the 2008 election
.
.
He said he expressed eagerness to work with the president on immigration reform and the line-item veto, but has been left out in the cold.
McCain, the ranking Republican on the Armed Services Committee, also said Obama failed to consult with him on national-security issues.
He never asked for advice on national-security nominees, McCain said.
.
.
McCain pointed out that Obama invited him to the White House in 2009 to discuss immigration reform.
I said, Id love to join you, and never heard from him, McCain said.

line-item veto? with Obama in office?
The last I heard republicans only talk about line-item vetoes when there is a republican in the White House and never mention it when there is a democrat living there.
Oops... I forgot. We’re talking about McCain

This is why I won't vote for Romney. I knew McCain was a lousy candidate, but I voted for him anyway. Four years later and we have yet another lousy choice. Enough is enough. Obama will probably con and cheat his way to re-election anyway. We will endure the dictatorship and resist where we can. I just hope that when the republic eventually is restored, we will have ridden ourselves of both corrupt parties.

Most of us, those who live outside Arizona, have been laughing at John for longer than that!
This man is lost and drifting with no moors of principles or common sense! The Republicans would be best served if they cut the ties and let him go ahead and completely sail over to the Democrats!

McCain sucked up to Obama and Obama kicked him in the teeth. This is Obama's pattern. He is never, ever 'grateful' to any Republican for anything. In fact, Obama is rarely very grateful even to his liberal supporters. McCain's ego is bruised. Too bad, he helped give us Obama. GOP presidential candidate John McCain famously said (3 weeks before the '08 election) "we have nothing to fear with Barack Obama in the White House", inferring that if we did fear the Marxist America-hater, we were, all together now: 'racists!' McCain can go cry on his pillow. I'm not interested in his whining.

Maybe Obama thinks that Juan would want to be in the photo for the op, or something like that!
Shows what a jerk McCain is or idiot as well - he actually thought that Obama was serious about "working together" about wanting t"o do the best for the American people," "reach across the aisle" and all that.

The positive value in McCain saying this now is that recent efforts by Obama have been to paint Republicans as unwilling to talk to him about getting together to solve the nation’s problems.
McCain is a prominent elected Republican. He’s saying the gridlock is not his fault - Obama is the problem.
