I’m struck how when the conservatives gave the congress to democrats in 2006 that president bush folded on Iraq and pulled out.
I’m also struck how in TARP he spent all of the funds allocated and did not require the funds to be paid back.
I’m also struck that like LBJ he quit and refused to run for a second term.
I am also embarrassed that when more than 200 marines were slaughtered in Beirut he refused to fight a war on terror and just pulled out of conflicts.

I noice none of the examples you cited were of Bush defending himself.
