A hall of fame should honor only the very best who changed the face of music. It should not include every successful act.

Boston? Foreigner? Pantera? UFO? Styx? Vanilla Fudge? Winger? The Melvins? If everybody is in the hall of fame, it’s not a hall of fame.

There are a few on your list that deserve consideration, but not that many. Two or three artists per year should be the maximum. How many new, original, history changing acts happen each year? I submit that most years it isn’t even one.

Aw, you’re just thinking of the ‘80’s. We all knew Katrina and the Waves sucked. Lost decade.

Do you honestly believe that the biggest selling metal act and the first to have all of their records go #1 (Pantera) doesn’t deserve the hall of fame? Styx has sold like 50 million records world wide...Boston is an institution of rock and roll and has the biggest selling debut album in rock history...every song is a radio hit. The Melvins are a huge influential band on literally 30 or 40 huge bands out there.
