Unfortunately Sen. Van Wanggaard of the 21st District seems to have been recalled, losing to dim Lehman by 779 votes or 1% with 100% of precincts reporting.

Now the dims have a one vote majority in the state Senate.

Hopefully, it won’t matter. The state Senate won’t convene again until after the November elections and the Repubs hope to regain the majority in the Senate by then. The people I feel sorry for are Lehman’s new ‘constituents’. Thanks to a stupid ruling by the GAB, the voters of the old district (before redistricting) elected Lehman, but the residents of the new district are stuck with him.

I feel bad for Van Wanggaard, he is a good politician.
