Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker won a vote to keep his job on Tuesday, surviving a recall effort that turned the Republican into a conservative icon and his state into the first battleground in a bitter, expensive election year.
Late Tuesday night, Walker held a solid lead over Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett (D).

I have never seen so many new voters that registered and voted. These were business men and blue collar workers. The look of resolve was on their face.

Now the dims have a one vote majority in the state Senate.
Liberals know Obama is a coward.
That is why they play the “Obama got Usama” ad nauseum.
However, Obama has proven he has ZERO leadership ability.
Liberals gave Obama a fillibuster-proof senate in 2008 and he squandered the opportunity by not leading his own party to unity behind any legislation.
Liberals gave Obama the recall election to show the strength of unions and the “working man”. Obama never showed up.

Excellent. If I hadn’t read your piece, I would not have known about Obama’s tweet. Hilarious. The Democrats are complaining that Obama didn’t campaign for Barrett, but I’m guessing the Barrett campaign didn’t really want Obama campaigning for him.
Hopefully, it won’t matter. The state Senate won’t convene again until after the November elections and the Repubs hope to regain the majority in the Senate by then. The people I feel sorry for are Lehman’s new ‘constituents’. Thanks to a stupid ruling by the GAB, the voters of the old district (before redistricting) elected Lehman, but the residents of the new district are stuck with him.

Voter fraud indeed. Several articles from yesterday were of busloads of "poll-watchers" coming in from Michigan and Illinois. And another article was of others being flown in from New York.

It's good to see you writing again, JH2 - I've always much enjoyed your wit.
Long ago unions had to work to EARN worker support and membership. Now they just pick pockets, and do nothing but push socialist government.
Getting rid of mandatory membership AND banning unions from political activity would force them to go back to work earning member support like they once HAD to.
Unions should be banned from government employee representation as they once were. Laws that once covered government employees were more than fair and equitable - while banning government employee strikes. They work for us, just as the elected do, and they have no right nor reason to demand more than average public-sector compensation.
