Kurt L. Schmoke December, 1987 December 7, 1999 Democrat

Stephanie Rawlings-Blake February 4, 2010 – Democrat
The last Republican Mayor elected in Baltimore was in 1963.
Thomas D’Alesandro, Jr.
His daughter, Nancy Pelosi, is a Representative from California, who served as the House of Representatives House Minority Leader between 2003 and 2007, and was the Speaker of the House from January 4, 2007 until January 3, 2011. D’Alesandro’s son, Thomas L. J. D’Alesandro III, also served as Mayor of Baltimore from 1967 to 1971.
D’Alesandro ran for Governor of Maryland in 1954, but was forced to drop out due to being implicated in receiving undeclared money from Dominic Piracci, a parking garage owner convicted of fraud, conspiracy, and conspiracy to obstruct justice.[4]

After him the Mafia gave up on Baltimore. Schaeffer fixed up the Inner Harbor area, but crime was left to the less sophisticated locals down on "the Block".
Wm Donald Schaefer was a Democrat, but a first class mayor who loved the City.
Burns was a non-entity
Schmoke put the whole City well on the road to perdition. And it got worse with each succeding mayor.
