Now, at this point, I'm left wondering if Barack's reserve, etc. is not just the time in his life, but, after all, emotional scarring that will make it difficult for him to get involved even after he's sorted his life through with age and experience. Hard to say, as obviously I was not the person that brought infatuation. (That lithe, bubbly, strong black lady is waiting somewhere!)

Quite frankly, this stuff reads like it was written by Bill Ayers - and designed to flatter Michelle to keep her from being too mad about their attempts to convince the world that he’s not gay.
The whole thing reminds me of Rush Limbaugh last week (?) saying that the New York Times had an article saying that they need to really vet Obama so that people won’t instead read and believe the blogs. Seems like a big disinformation campaign. But then, after the track record of the media, government, and Obama himself, they could accidentally tell the truth and I’d have a hard time believing it. Kind of like the boy that cried wolf.
I'd think that was just too, too, flattering to Michelle to be what Cook really wrote at the time, except that it seems odd that she specifies "a woman", as if the other possibility were a possibility.

That photo is for some food - Subway probably? To stay on his diet the pudgy middle-age guys hires three teen girls to follow him around and watch what he eats. I believe the comments in the bubbles are the same comments said in the commercial. You’ll have to add in the girly voice (about 20% “Valley Girl”).

Democrat political campaigns always bring in a biographer like Maraniss and do a deal. The campaign gets a boost from a best-seller book that reveals a few controversial things (but nothing really big). The biographer gets access, that might lead to something more meaningful down the line after he gets done writing his papp.
Maraniss performed the same service for Bill Clinton.
It’s a sideshow. And it’s obviously been in the works for some time.
