It only took nearly six years for the media to begin vetting President Obama’s past.
Today, Vanity Fair released an excerpt from a new biography of Barack Obama by David Maraniss. The excerpt discusses Barack Obama's first love affair, with a white Australian woman named Genevieve Cook. It's a telling examination of who Obama was as a young man -- and it shows a self-absorbed "internationalist" with delusions of grandeur.

The book itself sounds like an ode to Obama. Maraniss writes, “At age 20, Obama was a man of the world … He could not be of one place, rooted and provincial.” No, says Maraniss, this was a broadminded young man who “knew the ways of different cultures better than he knew himself.”
When he first moved to New York, he was in the midst of an affair with Alexandra McNear, a girl from Occidental. They exchanged a series of purple letters with one another – turgid missives from overfevered young minds. Here, for example, is tendentious Obama explaining poetry to his young girlfriend:

FOREIGN STUDENT AT OCCIDENTAL? Maybe McNear would know whether or not Obama was registered as a foreign student at Occidental College in California.
She might even know if Obama ever went by the name of Soetoro.
I wish a reporter would track McNear down and find out if she knows if Obama was registered as a foreign student at Occidental, and/or if she knows how Obama paid his college expenses at Occidental. That is, did Obama receive financial aid as a foreign student?

I never thought that Kenya group photo looked real at all. Additionally, it looks pretty warm in Kenya, why wear a black leather jacked?
So it’s the black leather jacked that’s real the head above is not....they must have a reason for photographing that jacked over and over again. Lends continuity of some sort?
Here’s another thought. Zero’s supposedly 6 ft tall, right? There is he “is” with a group of Kenyans, looks to be about their height, give or take a couple of inches. Of course, the photo makes it look as though he standing next to them but at the same time he’s in front of them, but that’s another matter.... I thought Kenyans were generally short, as the Kenyan Obama.
How do photos of other people of average height, or Kenyans for that matter, look standing next to Zero in non-photoshopped photos? Is the height difference more apparent? And the supposed girlfriend, she must be pretty tall, since she’s not much shorter? But that thing is so fake it doesn’t even matter, but it is another point in favor of photoshopping, if anohter point is even needed.
The Bush miss me yet on the computer screen was a nice touch. lol
He wears a size 13 1/2 shoe according the NYT. Trying looking at that.

Self-absorbed Obama:
