How does one justify a vote for Romney?

With the foisted increased possibility of Mittens buying becoming the Nominee, can you actually justify voting for him in the general election?

This is what I am truly curious to find out.

Virgil Goode info" http://www.goodeforpresident2012.com/

Gary Johnson info: http://www.garyjohnson2012.com/about

Personally, at this moment, I simply cannot vote for Romney under any circumstance. I am also convinced that if Romney runs against Obama, Romney will lose massively.

I'd really be interested in your feedback, especially in terms of how you potentially plan to justify voting for Romney if he indeed becomes the Nominee.

Thank you,

NRT

You’ve made a very convincing argument in a very distasteful situation. Thank you.

I’m simple.

I vote for the most conservative candidate in the primary.

I vote for the republican nominee in the general.

If anyone has a better way of doing this, please let me know.

That was in 2008 and a lot of States have made the rules tighter. They will be lucky to be on the ballot in 15 this year.

It is neither a lie nor specious. It is an opinion. Just like your comments. Only mine is based upon a comparison and analysis of Romney's record as a governor and public statements in comparison to Obama's record and statements.

I’ve said it before, for the good of all American citizens whether they know it or not, I would vote for Linday Lohan for president if she were the only other candidate on the ballot.

Put me in for ABO.

I am rooting for what’s best for the country now. We may not get a chance to vote again in 4.5 years. We are working on getting Lugar out too. Honest change comes hard and takes time. We’ll continue our efforts to change the party after we unseat Obama.

said, "Easy. Obama or Romney."

Two socialists to the core one that hates this country and the other that is a greedy son of a ..... that could care less.

Assuming the republicans win the both house and senate I would rather have the one that hates this country.

The one that doesn't give a rats ... if he won would be able to pass anything he wants and get any supreme court justice that he wants.

If it looks as though we may not win both the house and Senate I would have to pick the greedy no good son of a .....

this is only a two party system anything else really a lessor vote for the other guy.

How is that for justifying my vote. It means i could vote against either one still.

Romney is the SLIGHTLY less Socialist candidate.

If you can vote for that, go ahead.

I abhor what Nixon did to our nation.... wage/price freeze, EPA, liberal Supreme Court justice, etc.

But I am glad Reagan supported Nixon in 68 and 72. That “compromise decision” helped Reagan gain momentum to seriously challenge a sitting president Ford in 76 and eventually win the nomination in 80.

If Reagan had attempted to sabotage the Nixon nomination, Reagan never would have become president 2-3 cycles later.

Easy, ABO! If I didn't live in a swing state maybe I would have the luxury of the self righteousness that so many display around here.

Exactly. I have the advantage of living in a bright blue state (WA), where they will elect 0bama unless there’s a landslide.

In any case, my vote is entirely non-decisive. So, I’ll send a message by voting for all the other Republicans, except Romney.

I have the luxury of avoiding the vote for the lesser of two Socialists.

Do you think Mitt wants to take America down a notch like Zero does? Do you think that Mitt hates what this country stands for?

Yes and yes

Mormon bishop and high priest Willard Mitt Romney wants to mess with our Constitution because of his religion and his beliefs..

Even without the religion, Willie Mitty is an immoral liberal Socialist who hates our country and will be no better than Obama...

Someone else here said it quite well, a vote fora third party candidate elects Democrats.

This time around a vote for anyone is going to elect a Democrat!

So what you are really saying is that you are a religious bigot. I know we have a lot of them on here (anti-Mormon) who claim to be Christian (but only their definition of a Christian). You are they type who will let your white trash bigotry re-elect Obama.

From what I've seen, many people's plan is to close their eyes, stick their fingers in their ears, go "la la la la la", walk into the voting booth, and pull the lever for Romney.

Strikes me that's never a good strategy.

In a long chess game, one may have to give up a piece in the short run (Romney) in order to gain a long term win (at least one non-Socialist party in the U.S.)

How can Virgil Goode win if his party cannot get him on the ballot in so many states?

He can't. Your missing the point. See post #57.
