Everyone please send whatever you are able to, whether it is $10, $100 or $1,000+. The DUmmies, Morons, Kos Kiddies and that crew are laughing up their sleeves. Jim may have to make this site members only or allow ads. Better for us to just help with what we can. Maybe you can donate as a memorial for a lost loved one, a servicemember who never made it home or was disabled defending our country. Perhaps you'd like to give to keep free discussion alive and to show them that we're not knuckling under. I'm sure a well thought out or prayerful meditation will lead you to see the need and how you can help. If every registered FReeper and our lurkers would each just help out with a fin or a sawbuck, or better yet a Ben Franklin, we could put this to bed and get on with the conservative cause.

Murraymom was FR's sole token liberal. While disruptors were zotted, she was allowed to stick around praising Clinton and bashing Bush for reasons that I'm not entirely sure of. Back then though, everyone to the right of Hillary had a voice here, from the moderate to the ultra conservative. People weren't banned for disagreement within conservative orthodoxy. Zots only occurred when liberal newbies signed up specifically to troll the site and egregious violations of posting rules.
I always check the past posting history. I celebrate if it is a deserved zot of what appears to be almost certainly a troll. Sign up date really doesn’t mean anything. It’s past posting history that matters. I never celebrate a zot that I consider wrong and usually comment that I don’t understand why that one was zotted.
Apparently you are blind to the fact that the media hates Republicans, even if in name only. They will want another ‘Rat installed post haste, and will do what they can to hobble Romney.
The attacks on Palin were just as vicious as any other candidate. Actually she was not yet a candidate but the attacks were still nasty. So what? FR has always had battles.

I have a feeling I’m not so much different than a lot of people around. I think and feel the way they do.
The difference may lie in the fact that without treatment soon I will be dead by years end.

You are arguing emotion and motivation. I'm talking about what Romney has actually done. None of it conservative, including strangling business in Mass by passing Cap & Trade.
It is arresting to imagine a Romney White House, inevitably filled with as many former Bain colleagues as each of his other public ventures have been: The PowerPoints, the 80-20 jargon, the clinical separation of decision-making from ideology, the detachment of those decisions from moral consequence, a persistent blind spot for people as people. It would represent the final ascension of a perfectly American type, one that has already remade the culture of business. I once asked a Bain colleague of Romney’s how Romney thought of his own core competence. “I think Mitt thinks he’s good at being Mitt Romney,” the colleague said.
I dont remember the attacks being about Palin (aside from pissant) as much as they were about the blind following and Obama-like cult following she had, and how it was dangerous to get so wrapped up in a candidate. If there were attacks against her, it was that she either wasnt electable or was stringing people on too long.
But I dont remember anyone saying she she wanted girls to have abortions like they said about Perry, or that she was a stalking horse like they said about everyone from Bachmann to Paul, or that she would install a theocracy like they said about Santorum. She got off pretty light in the “personal attacks” arena.
You know that I speak my mind. What you don't know is that I have received well over a dozen messages in the past two years from freepers who said that they were afraid to post similar opinions for fear of being zotted.
That's the fact of it...many long-time freepers do not feel "free" to discuss. I believe that the pendulum will swing back but in the mean-time FR will lose good people.

What Jim Robinson chooses to do about the disgruntled Freepers who want to promote Romney for President is entirely up to him......but I will not support Romney nor his policies...nor will I buy into the “fear” being promoted here should Obama win another term as reason to change my opinion of Romney...and that which he most undoubtedly will do if he's elected.
I will be voting down ticket and do a write in. I am at Peace about doing just that. I refuse to support any socialist agenda....let alone the Globalist agenda Romney most assuredly will esculate.

I think the concern is, that FR is supporting a socialist (Obama) by refusing to allow support for Romney.

Look...this election is already a done deal...I would think the Primary would have revealed as much...I will vote just the same because men and woman died so that I might do so.
The media will do as they are told by their stock holders...I have no control over that and neither does anyone else. Romney knew what he would be getting into and is well prepared for the fight with Obama. They both have had years to prepare and knew this would be how it would play out.
The show will go on, with us as the spectators, but if any think their vote is going to move the decided outcome then they are not seeing the reality that our voting system has been hyjacked and they are running with it.

I was called every name in the sun for criticizing FReepers saying vote for Obama over Romney! Odd their posts disappeared but their accounts exist.
And many people who are in the know acknowledge there are democrat operatives working here.
This isn't about Mitt Romney. I never donated or voted for him. This is about intimidation and threats that go unpunished, which have literally scared people from posting and they've left.
John McCain was bad, but then we had the Tea Party and 2010 and this site was thriving, why? People weren't zotted for voting for McCain over Obama even though we all despised McCain.
I assume I'll be the next head on the chopping block, but I've been called every name under the sun including a democrat, a libertarian, a communist and I signed up 4 days after 9/11... Was there at a Free Republic Support our Troops event in 2003 that drew 5000 patriots to downtown Chicago making Occupy Wall Street look like a picnic.
