I have a question that needs to be posed also:

Do you seriously believe that the Founders of this nation put something in the Constitution that would allow the son of a British subject to be President of the United States?

That is just the question I sent to my House Rep. today:

Could you please verify a statement attributed as your position on a national security issue? Recently a staffer in your office told me that you are satisfied that Barack Obama is Constitutionally eligible to serve as POTUS, even though his father was never a US citizen.

Apparently, a foreigner may legally father a child here and raise the child abroad as an enemy of the state before returning that offspring to the US in time to meet the 14-year residency requirement and run for President.

Is that your position? Is that what you think the Framer's intended by the national security provision featured in Article II, Section 1 of the Constitution?

FReepers: Please use SOME fraction of the time you spend posting here and write to your House Rep. and Senators about the importance of the eligibility issue. And try to get a FRiend to do likewise.
